I think Sawyer is pretty interesting. He's come a long way as a character. Infact, 2 episodes ago (when Ben's daughter died), the most moving part of the episode to me was not when Ben's daughter died and he cried about it, but actually when Sawyer was protecting Claire, and stuck up for Hurley. That brought tears to my eyes

Other bad parts:
Juliet not going down on Kate then both of them getting ripped in half, but what're you gonna do.
I thought they'd give us at least a fucking taste of next season. The guy I was watching it w/ predicted "explosion, cut scene to LAX for 3 seconds, then end". That I would've liked a lot more.

Aight, bitches. We got about 6 weeks max by my count. Who's geared up?

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
I might have to re-watch season 1 to get in the Lost zone. Things were so simple then. That last season finale is still disappointing.

I like how this is important. Whatever it was, there was dead peoples (and some maybe alive people) and then a shining light. Does it get any better than this?GaijinPunch wrote:No it wasn't.Ed Oscuro wrote: hey guys it was all a purgatory dream
Interesting to point out that they made the whole show about the Island, and not about where people "move on" to. That's because Heaven is no fun and nobody has ever come up with a way it could plausibly be (unless they went the Viking route, which is more like the Island again).
Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
I liked it. It offered up alot of closure for the charas, not so much for the island. Working an afterlife into the story fit. But, the last minute shinnanagins on the island was a bit of nonsense.

Closure & open-ended at the same time. How often does that happen? It offered up alot of closure for the charas, not so much for the island.

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
Any time somebody dies that happens. Who knows when I will next think about Abe Vigoda, for instance? I don't even have to watch any Target ads to do that.

Too bad I'm too lazy to google who the fuck Abe Vigoda is.

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
I actually enjoyed the ending aside from the "flash sideways". It was also awesome seeing Lost fans going nuts that nothing was answered!!

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
The writers said a while back that no, they weren't going to answer everything, some people would hate the wrap-up, and that the only real answer they thought they owed the audience was how the two timelines related. I learned the hard way to quit expecting TV shows to explain anything when the X-Files ended.Rob wrote: was also awesome seeing Lost fans going nuts that nothing was answered!!

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
The biggest thing I got out of the Lost finale was getting upset once again that Carnivale got canceled.

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
I just went through Carnivale a month ago and I thought they did the series a favor. I was getting some Dead Zone flashbacks towards the end (Armageddon is nigh!... until cancellation).

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
So now that you've quit being the official shmups TV critic (which I'm a little sad to say) can you give us some insight to what's worth watching? I personally thing Breaking Bad is the best thing on TV, but hey, I like ongoing stories. Lost was my cup of tea.

Have you watched Jericho? Sci fi channel's The Lost Room was okay.

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
I'm not sure I've even seen it. I don't really keep up with new shows. Just started watching Breaking Bad a little while ago. The only other show I'll watch (when it comes back) is Dexter. I'll be missing Lost.

Re: the weekly lost mini-discussion thread
It's excellent, but the problem is the intensity. I can't relax when I watch it, and I can't relax afterwards b/c I'm so worked up. This season is fucking wicked though. Each episode is better than most movies.Breaking Bad
Everyone tells me I suck for not watching Dexter, so maybe it's time to give it a try. I'm just finishing up Battlestar Galactica. Another one that won't be properly emulated for a while.
