R.I.P. Paul Gray

Post by Vyxx »

Paul Gray, the bassist for the band Slipknot, was found dead Monday in an Iowa hotel room but there was no indication of foul play. A hotel employee found Gray, 38, dead in a room at the TownePlace Suites in Urbandale, a suburb of Des Moines, police said in a statement. An autopsy was planned for Tuesday.

While I wasn't a huge fan of the band, it's quite sad to see someone go so young. You will be missed, brother. RIP

Really? They're almost as shitty as Slipknot, let's hope the guys from Dimmu are next, that'll make up for losing Dio this year.

Can't say I was much of a fan of Slipknot, or have even heard of Avenged Sevenfold but wishing random people dead on the internet is some seriously weak shit, even if they are dummy burger. Saying this somehow makes up for Dio's passing is plain foolish. Show Dio some respect he is a legend.

R.I.P. guy in a mask. Play that big bass in the sky.

What about McCartney? (Not that I care much about him, just curious.)

So, now there are only like...16 people left in the band? I recently learned that there are a few "members" of the band that whack on empty beer kegs with hammers or something; surely one of those guys could pick up a bass and do just about the same thing the bassist did...

Dude...Dio; Ronny James Dio was a singer/vocalist, he did nothing with guitars, let alone bass.

He did play the bass on Elf's first album; I know it wasn't his main instrument beyond that. Again, it was just a bad joke. ;)

I'll bet both Sting and Geddy Lee are sweatin' bullets right now; staying indoors, staying off staircases and ladders - things of that nature...

Im not a massive slipknot fan to be honest (didnt even know the names of the members of the band) but I have listened to some of their songs in the past with "Blind" being one of my favs.

I wouldnt say the death of the bassist is going to be the demise of the band since I think theres another member who plays bass already.

I heard them back when i was 15.
Now i just don't care that much if this guy decided to get an overdose in some hotel room.

But still, what is it with all those people dying this year?
