A sad milestone for me

Post by evil_ash_xero »

I 1CC'd MUSHA on Normal. I was happy about it, because this is constantly pointed out as the "easy 1CC", right after Thunderforce III. And I have NEVER even beaten it on normal, until I 1CC'd it. So, hooray! I can say "yeah, I beat those easy ass shmups on the Genesis: TF III, and MUSHA".

I had beaten Mushi Futari 1.5, and Mushi Futari BL, so I didn't see why I couldn't take that one down.

The only other shmup I have 1CC'd is DeathSmiles MBL.

But hey, i'm IMPROVING. Thank the gods.

Anything I should go for next? I'd like to add to my sad, but growing list.

Are you silly completely in your head? Dude, that's the worst you could suggest. Shame on you (or suggesting any post guwange cave game). I would say, go for Armed Police Batrider's Advanced 1cc. Just don't go for a huge score first. Finish it first, give that 1cc then try scoring high. I recommend it for you to do so! :D

Thunder Cross (Japan ver) is a pretty easy arcade 1CC.

I quit TF3 after 1CC'ing it on Normal three times (once via TFAC) and pathetic attempts on Hard.

"Quit" as in deleted the fucking ROM because I can't 1CC it on Hard or Mania on my first try on those difficulties.

I'm curious, because Battle Mania Daiginjou (which wasn't released outside Japan) isn't mentioned among easy 1ccs, even though the game gives you lots of extends.. I would suggest it (and its prequel, Battle Mania/Trouble Shooter), because I like this game.

edit: another suggestion.. Twinkle Star Sprites (on level 4)

If you stick to the MD, a good call for the next one is Gleylancer (also available on the Wii VC).

Lots of stages, really varied graphical design and absolutely NO slowdown. It's easy during the first levels, but there's a decently challenging last boss waiting for you.

Doesn't even exist. There is no "Ultra Mode" in BL.

Do something difficult.
Easy games are good for building confidence, but do nothing for improving your skills.

I think going for the Daifukkatsu BL Strong Style 2-ALL would be a much better goal.

How about the arcade version of Gradius? It's not especially difficult, but it's not a free clear either. For a memorizer, it gives you a lot of leeway.

Is Musha Aleste MD really that easy. I can get pretty far - about 6 or 7 stages in from memory, but there's some bastard boss at the end (might even be the last, not sure) who is stupidly tough because your ship is so big.

You may be talking about the boss at the end with the big pearl circle thing that flies around the screen. I got killed over and over with that bastard, but I had built up enough extra lives to take him.

If I could have 1CC'd this game by now, I would have. Played it a million times. I haven't gotten past the Alice Clones. And my skills haven't progressed far enough to take down that final boss. No way.

If you don't mind doujin shmups, try any x.x Game Room game on Original.

Since you're on the Genny kick, perhaps Elemental Master would be a good pick. Similar difficulty to TFIII, but with the added stress of avoiding ground-based obstacles. One of my favorite Genny/MD titles.

I thought it was easier than Mushi Futari BL Original

Think that's the guy. Will watch superplay and see if I can take the game.

I second this. Strikers 1999 is a fantastic game. To 2-loop it, all it takes is practice. The first loop should fall fairly easily with the X-36.

Get in there.
