Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
After playing ESPGaluda II, I decided to get this. It arrived on thursday, and after having played it a bit, WOW THIS GAME IS AWESOME. There's a lot to the Original/Ultra scoring system that I didn't think was there, and Black Label completely changes the game. Novice Ultra is my personal favorite mode, and is the best part of any game i've ever played. I just now 1cc'ed BL original with a score of 278309792, bomb spamming the final boss down with 2 bombs and 0 lives at the end, after having made it to her with 3 lives and 0 bombs. Now onto 1.5 Original, after my blood sugar returns to normal.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
I've been playing more Black Label than anything else. It's more refined than 1.5 (easier to manage those green and blue switches in original), but the funny thing is, I've been spending time with God mode and trying to see how far I can get with 1 credit. It's a blast, I think of it like a survival mode. While I'm really close to 1cc'ing Original BL, I'm nowhere close in God mode, but having a great time trying.

Sorry for the bump, but does anyone know where I can buy a 1.01 DLC card? I've looked on ebay and there was none. I checked Yahoo Auctions JP and I found 2 but I'm not really sure on how to buy from there being in America.
If anyone here has one to sell please PM me.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (new thread)
It's going to be pretty hard to find one now as a lot of them have been used up. Yahoo Auctions Japan is a good source, but being stateside you'll need to find someone in Japan to help you out with the deal. Or you could make an offer in the Trading Forum and see if anyone is willing to part with one.cstle wrote:Sorry for the bump, but does anyone know where I can buy a 1.01 DLC card? Are there any people on these forums who live in Japan that could help me out? Don't know anyone there personally

I wouldn't even worry about it.
To be frank, 1.01 sucks. It's nice to have but you'll spend most of your days playing BL (god mode is hella fun) and 1.5.

I would actually like 1.01, if it wasn't for the fact that your bombs can't hurt the bosses. That's my entire strategy down the drain!

Hmm... I wonder if there's going to be a platinum hits release with all the DLC included a la Deathsmiles...
I still have yet to pick this game up, but I'm really wanting to buy it all of a sudden. That potential for a rerelease is all that's keeping me from pulling the trigger.

Heh, finally got around to purchasing Black Label (only had the game since launch), and yeah, it's pretty sweet. Definitely seems easier when played purely for survival, I managed to get halfway through Stage 5 my third time playing. I'm mostly just glad to have a "complete" copy now with every option (1.01-BL) selectable.

There might be a Platinum Collection release of Futari, according to this list of upcoming titles that a Japanese store posted online.
Dated 11/11/10.

Does that mean 1.5 and Black Label both available off the disc?

It's an indication of a Platinum release, nothing more.
Also, I think you mean 1.01.

I have a feeling 1.01 wouldn't be on the platinum release. Deathsmiles didn't have the DLC from the preorder cards on it.
1.01 sucks (I have it), Just play 1.5 if you wanna get your ass kicked.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (November 2009)
There is one big difference between the two. DS' pack-in was a full voice mode. This means licensing and rights management for the voice work and is a bloody nightmare. It's entirely possible that the terms of the contracts with the voice actors did not cover using their voices in additional releases, which is what the platinum edition would fall under. 1.01 for Mushi Futari on the other hand wouldn't cost Cave a damn thing.PsychoGun wrote:I have a feeling 1.01 wouldn't be on the platinum release. I don't mind buying mushi again if it includes black label (and hopefully 1.01). I don't have internet access for my 360.

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (November 2009)
I just hooked my J360 up to a 23" LCD to see how it looked. I set everything to 16:9, but I'm not seeing an option to increase the size of the play window on the 360 modes. Am I missing something? I want to "stretch" the window to fit my screen vertically, while still maintaining the correct aspect ratio.
(No my LCD has no easy tate mechanism)
Thanks

Re: Xbox 360: Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (November 2009)
Not sure if this is your problem but IIRC, in the screen config window, the option to 'zoom' is in the 'Simple' menu not the 'Maniac' menu.
There is also a submenu in the 'Maniac' menu that shows you an accurate dot by dot zoom value along with a load of other advanced stuff (I think you hit 'a' to access this).
Personally, when playing on an LCD, I just use the simple menu to zoom until it fills the screen (while maintaining aspect ratio) and when tated, enable scanlines (preset 'D') and the result is beautiful

Futari's Platinum release is up on P-A, with a November 11th release date - is anyone aware of any details concerning what extras (if any) are included?

It reads "NTSC-J" there, pretty sure it means not region-free.

Pretty sure it doesn't. Futari and Galuda II are the same. There's nothing to say that it's region free on the packaging, or in the manual.moozooh wrote:It reads "NTSC-J" there, pretty sure it means not region-free.
