Tried using Tiger Schwert instead of Panzer Jager for once, and out of nowhere came a 1-ALL. Only died once on the first four stages (late in Stage 4) so I finally had enough resources to get through the last stage, which was pretty much a load of bombspam... five deaths during that stage, it completely destroyed me.

Still, pleased with this. Time to work on my scoring.

The ship types are split. In type A there are 3 or 4 scores over 600mil, 4 in type B. The top scores are about 685mil for A and 675 for B. I think 400mil gets you about into the top 25 or so for either ship type.

Bah, if I had just 5 million more points by the end of stage 3 I would have got the double bonus on that stage for an extra 25 million easy points.

There's a wicked Panzer Jager replay scoring 698 million points. He blows it on the stage 5 boss, but everything before that is great.

So now that more people have finally banged the sacred cow and eaten of its sacred loins, is it worth sacredly selling my US 360 and some other shit to sacredly get a J360 and the port so I can finally sacredly play it? It doesn't look as safe to play for score as DOJ, but helicopters. Seriously, I have as close to a helicopter fetish as one can get without actually having a helicopter fetish. I even 1-ALLed DDP with the helicopter. Shot type! I love helicopters. I'd rather hug a cold, hard helicopter than my own mother. The soundtrack is also really awesome and stuff.

The relationship between DOJ and Ketsui sort of reminds me of Devil May Cry versus Chaos Legion. I thought Devil May Cry 1 was the coolest damn game I'd ever played, but I actually like Chaos Legion more. The dark atmosphere versus the gray melancholy seems pretty similar in DOJ/Ketsui. As you can see, I am a crackhead, and you should never listen to me.

So, yes. I figure I should ask in the score thread because people who actually play the game post here, as opposed to the other forums, where they don't.

Pretty much just get a 5 chain going and use the lock shot on as many enemies as you can. I very useful trick is to shoot a red enemy with the normal shot while you have a chain to get a huge time boost. You can chain huge chunks of stages with this trick.

Anyway, new score for me.
