Mag-Stik Plus - Micro Switch Replacement

Post by philexile »

Hello,

I purchased the Mag-Stik Plus for use with my X-Arcade setup and, overall, I was very pleased with the joystick. However, I did find the micro switches very annoying.

I play a lot of Pac-Man and I noticed that I really need to hit the directions hard for it to register and sometimes it didn't register at all. As a temporary solution, I salvaged the cheap switches from my old X-Arcade joystick and cut them down to fit the Mag-Stik. This worked much better as they seem to be more sensitive.

This was always meant to be temporary as it is a bit of a janky solution and I wanted to ask for people's recommendations on good replacement micro switches for the Mag-Stik Plus that are very sensitive and good for "twitch" games like Pac-Man.

Thanks!

When I bought my first Mag-Stik I also picked up a set of light action switches from Ultimarc. Try them, they're definately lighter.

I'm not at home, else I'd find the exact make and part number.

Hi,

Could you please post that production number or a direct link? I was unable to find it on the Ultimarc site.

Thanks!

Just e-mail Andy and ask him directly. I don't think they're officially listed.
