bought it untested for 10 pounds. my bad.
get an orange screen and music but can just about make out some graphics. not the suicide battery then? can it be fixed? who?

Sounds like it could be a bad C-board, but without a photo its hard to say for sure as the A-boards are dying so commonly now.
