I'm new to vertical shooters. I'm going to be honest, I'm not even sure what this website is for. lol. However, I searched up 'Dimahoo' on google and this is one of the forums that came up. I'm assuming that this forum is for shooters of that sort.
However back to the introduction..
Nice to meet all of you, I'm Antiximo, and i'm really bad at shooters XD. I've been trying to get better, and I thought the best way to learn is to join communities that revolve around them. So where should I be starting? I'm not exactly much of a lurker XD

If you haven't already, look into mame, the arcade emulator. There are a ton of great titles that are decently emulated and run very well on most machines. There are also a lot of great indie/doujin shmups available for free, too -- Cho Ren Sha 68k, Eden's Aegis, Blue Wish Resurrection, Patriot Dark and XOP Black are good starting places. If you have an Xbox 360, you have a handful of great options, too.

Welcome, if Dimahoo wets your whistle that's pretty nuts, it is one of the most difficult games in the genre in my opinion. Anything Raizing is a good starting place, particularly Battle Bakraid, Mahou Daisakusen (prequel to Dimahoo), and Armed Police Batrider.
Most fellas here worship Cave though, when you enter that realm there is no turning back... start with Dodonpachi.
