So then nothing! That may have been before I discovered those other 2 sites, I don't remember. It was not an intentional "self-damaging lie", so yet another attempt by yourself, and others of your ilk of this forum to relentessly smear and insult me fails miserably.

look it's self damaging because it makes your post defending your in/ability to find things on the internet contradictory to the posts you've made. and if you don't remember that really doesn't matter then does because if you found them later it means you overlooked them in the first place and if you found them before you posted then it was a lie or a rather annoying fuck up.

it's also annoying because when you ask us for opinions on a game (i.e. 90% of the topics you post in off topic) and people tell you to read the reviews because they sum up the grievances well then you say that you only found one review so could they be more specific, when you did in fact find several which did list the grievences... well what the fuck man?

then when you tell us you have a problem with the demo and could we help. you do it as
Can we please just drop this crap, and could someone PLEASE at least suggest what they think is wrong with this demo??
hate to break it to you. maybe in that post that says "edit reapeat post" you said something but this is the first mention of something being wrong.

then ONE POST LATER (and in a rather rude/patronizing manner)
*bangs head against nearest wall*

I can't GET the demo to work; every time I try to open it, Windows tells me that there's a problem with it and it needs to close. That's what need advice on. Please someone, anyone? I shouldn't have to beg and plead on my knees on this site just to get some advice.

and this begging could have been a lot more helpful you didn't provide any more information other than it gave you an error message, altough you didn't tell us what it actually said, for all we know it might have just said you need c32n.dll or something and we could have given you help. then when some does ask you for information after you "pled on you knees" you get kinda huffy about the sarcasm that if you actually read the posts from his side was totally warrented.

and then you react to my post with a claim that did nothing but made you're own posts worse (see top of post)

and you haven't made any mention of whether or not changing it to windows 95 compatibility mode helped at all. instead, derailing yourself so that you can attempt to justify your behavior to me, and then telling me that my attempts at insulting you (which i never actually did) failed miserably, which is of course why you felt it necessary to justify yourself and inform me that I failed.

If I wasn't doing all the sh*t I do, I'd dedicate myself to forum wars. Man, are they fun.

BACK ON TOPIC: Why does your topics frequently end up in a forum war, Dave? Everybody hating you? That's being incredibly cynical if you asked me. It must be SOMETHING in your posts . (randomly capitalized words, rolling eyes, edgy tone of voice?)

Did I say I love forum wars?
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"
"They should at least make 100K to have a good life"

I've read reviews on gamesI just read those two AFTER the first post, so fuggin' hang me! I told you EXACTLY what the error message said; GO back and look at the posts. Obviously roushimsx new that.

You DID insult me by blantantly accusing me of lying and of not doing research, BOTH claims are false. I don't have to justify myself to you. I ask for people's opinions on games on the Off Topic section (which I hate to break it to you, is perfectly within the forum rules) not because I've only read one review but because I like to get as many opinions as possible.

"really annoying fuck up" Brilliant, I've got news for you buddy, I take several medications that mess with my short term memory. Let me know when you're perfect and haven't made any mistakes.

"Rude and patronizing" even more brilliant. That was humor dude, and if you read things so carefully, you ought to know that I was fed up with this thread being thrown off-topic-you think it's unreasonable for me to get frustrated with that? I really don't care.

It's not something in my posts, and if I sound edgy, it's because of the almost constant false accusations and insults I recieve around here, almost every time I start a new thread. I will NOT be falsely accused of lying, and then bitched at because I actually want a straight answer to a question I've asked.

I never said everyone hates me, but I'm just REALLY tired of this crap. Even Malc admits that this forum isn't nearly as friendly as it used to be, and it's due to nonsense like this.

no you didn't YOU go and read:
Windows tells me that there's a problem with it and it needs to close
is not exactly anything.

nor is
and it still says it isn't installed properly
and before you go and edit it more specific remember it shows last edit so it won't actually save face and it probably won't be read, post the EXACT message now so people don't have to scroll back to see it.

And you didn't even tell me, nor did anyone else, HOW to run the game in Windows '95 mode.
actually:
roushimsx wrote:Right click on POP3DDemo.exe
Click on Properties
Click the Compatibility Tab
Check the box that says, "Run this program in compatibility mode for..."
If you leave the dropdown box as Windows 95, you'll be golden. Feel free to play with any of the other configurations though. But yea, Windows 95 works dandy.

You DID insult me by blantantly accusing me of lying and of not doing research, BOTH claims are false.
actually one of those claims has to be true because if you did reaserch and had read multiple reviews prior to that post (which you probably should have done before asking us) then you did lie, intentionally or not i never even said. and if it wasn't a lie then you didn't do any reasearch (although actually i never accused you of doing no reaserch i claimed that you did terrible reasearch)
I don't have to justify myself to you
and yet here you are justifying yourself to me.

Neither of those claims has to be true; I found those sites AFTER I found that first one. And as to your continued claims that I didn't give enough info, I obviously did. Are you through now., because I'm really tired of this nonsense. If I lied, I would've apologized, honestly, let's just all be friends again, alright? I'm sorry I got all up in arms over this in the first place. :(

Amen. Agreed Magnum Opus? Really, we all love games, so let's call it a truce, alright? :P I don't hate you or anyone else on this site, I guess I just got all pissed and impatient when I felt like this thread was first going off topic, and I apologize. I'm not perfect, but I really do care about research, and I really do care about honesty.

Well, I tried the game out, and I actually like it! It's hard as balls, but so are the earlier Prince of Persia games. In any case, I was only using a D-Pad with it, I'm sure the DC's analog stick works much better. I'm gonna haft to pick this one up.

Oh boy. I just wanted to show that particular line to the world. Amazing. More research than I can imagine. When I was in 9th grade I did a lengthy report on the Vietnam w... Ah, forget it.

Anyway, I'm clearly late to this party and I think I can help.

Okay, we're all up to speed in regards to the simple age old equation: Time = Money. Sweet. Moving right along. Federal minimum wage in the United States of America is $5.15 (last I heard). So that means if you were to get an entry level position at your local Arby's and then show up to work for 1.5 hours (Uncle Sam needs his cut) you could then collect your earnings, go to the nearest used game vendor and buy this sorryass 3D update of a sorryass nonclassic and see for yourself just how sorry it is. In its entirety. Without fumbling over some demo wasting time in which you could just be earning some friggin money to buy some games with. Neverminding the part where you spend half the day accusing your fellow forum goers of somehow making this place unfriendly.

Okay. I'm finished. I'm not a dick, nor am I unfriendly. Nobody really needs to reply to this, especially not you Dave. You can if you want but I have nothing left to discuss on the subject of $5, readily available, crap games.

I am looking for work, alright? And the DC version, which is the one I am going to get, is more then $5; it's actually one of the rarer DC games out there.

And I apologize for the research comment-I was overreacting. I just get REALLY tired of getting treated like I know nothing about research when I majored in Poltical Science and minored in History, and so did truckloads of it. I know how to look up stuff, but if certain people on this site refuse to believe me, I could care less. I know that I AM skilled at research, and that's good enough for me.

And that's my last post on this thread.
