Colorado/Denver Shmupmeet - May 15th

Post by twalden »

Saturday, May 15th - my house in Brighton.

We started discussing this in the Colorado Springs thread, thought I would get this going with a new thread. The date isn't set in stone yet, but would like to try for that day if it's good for everyone. I have 3 candies. An Impress and a Korean candy that are tated and Neo Candy for hori stuff. I have plenty of stuff to play both arcade and console wise, from old school to newer Cave PCBs, but feel free to bring anything. Extra sticks, PCBs, etc. I would like to keep this at 7-8 people max. Not sure how many of us are in the area.

Let me know if you're interested and we will get this going!

I'll be down for this. As we speak I just left Akihabara in Tokyo earlier today with a Japanese Xbox360 as well as a AV7000 with 9000TB Supergun. No games yet for the Supergun, but I might try and buy a couple before I leave Tokyo. For the 360 I already had Mushihimesama Futari but today bought Death Smiles as well as ESP Galuda II.

So I should be able to bring whatever games you'd like me to bring.

There are a few guys in Georgia and North Florida that begged me to set up another BamaJAMMA, so I did, and I never heard from them again.

Sent them all a PM with the information, no reply, despite actively posting since.

After over a month of chaos, game room is back together and better than ever. Cave PCBs and more!! I've asked a few others to stop by, so hopefully we will have a decent turnout.

Well Colorado is home for me, I'm just stationed in Hawaii (active duty military). I'm hoping to be home for about a month starting the last week or so in June. If your May meet up goes well maybe we can do an impromptu meeting in June/July? I have a few PCBs I can contribute though most have ports now (Futari, Galuda II, Ketsui, Pink Sweets).

If not we'll have to meet up some other time. Hopefully my friend BigBen will be able to make it though. Everybody put pressure on him to pick up DDP DFK Black Label for his new supergun and so you can all play it at the meet.

We can do another one this summer if you want. All I need is 3 weeks or so advance notice to let the wife know. My work schedule is pretty easy to work around. I've tried over at neo-geo.com to get some meets going around here in the past, without much success. I'm up for playing anything you want to bring. I can send you a list of stuff I have, so you don't bring doubles.

DDP DFKBL would be sweet 8)

If we change the date so more people can attend, that's fine. We can wait until this summer when Shalashaska is in the area. Just let me know.

Nah I wouldn't postpone (for me anyway). My leave isn't guaranteed and I'd hate for you guys to change dates and then I still can't make it. Oh and I've actually always wanted to try Bee Storm out! :)

I'm 100% sure that I can come.

Should I bring my supergun over? I don't have many PCBs for it yet, but it do have a few. I might have one or two more by the 15th.

Let me know if there is anything else that you'd like me to bring.

Cool. Thanks Ben. I'll PM you with info and directions. I think we'll be fine without a supergun, but feel free to bring PCBs :D
I have all the 360 shooters except Shooting Love and Raiden Fighters Aces, so we're covered there. Anytime on Saturday
after 2PM will be good.

Oh hey, I live in Denver (sorta!) Not sure I have a lot to offer, most of the stuff I have is really common like the Galuda 1/2 ports and PS1Books Twinbee Yahho! (or just bad like Sol Divide heehee), but I'd love to meet people and play!

Awesome, spineshark said he's going to try and make it too. I have snacks and beverages and we can go get dinner if anyone is up for it. I was hoping to get the 360 to JAMMA adapter finshed, but I've been lazy, so it's 360 on the TV for now :)
