I'll be down soon, but with the last UK General Election debate airing on Thursday, I might not make it that night. Might have to be a Friday visit...

Ahh, sorry for the misunderstanding. I remembered it being in there a while ago - should've played it more when I had the chance.

Was there tonight. Where have all the good games gone? Way too many beat 'em ups and nothing modern at all.

Boo.

Since Taylor's DDP DFK, there's nothing new in any of our PCB collections, which is the only way modern shmups are likely to make it in there.

We were so lucky to have Ketsui, Espgaluda II, Pork, Pink Sweets, Deathsmiles and DFK in there almost back-to-back. You're right though - we need to work out a way of getting something new in there! But what is there left? Deathsmiles II I guess...

It's like the death of the arcades - again. There's been so many good ports in the last 12 months I'm finding it hard to drag myself away from the 360 to play DDP Bee Storm - pretty lax, but so much 360 love is keeping me in.

Don't say that! It brings a tear to my eye. Casino's going to keep going for ages yet, and we've still got some awesome classic already in (Dogyuun, Tatsujin Oh!, Raiden DX), and plenty more coming. I know a lot of you guys have a strong leaning towards the new titles...

I'm really for Turbo Force to go in as it's great fun and pretty tricky, and the leader board has had a flurry of activity.

But anything on my PCB list can go in:

Progear (JPN/Pheonixed)
Dodonpachi (INT)
Raiden (JPN)
Raiden 2 (Old version) (JPN)
Alpha Mission 2 (JPN)
Strikers 1999 (JPN)
Viper Phase 1: New Version (JPN)
Dogyuun (JPN)
Fighting Hawk (JPN)
Terra Force (Boot)
1944: The Loop Master (JPN)
Prehistoric Isle 2 (US)
Zing Zing Zip (JPN)
Turbo Force (JPN)

and I'd love for my Shock Troopers to go in one of the horis.

ok cool... i have two games on my mind going in goodge street, one from your list and one from mine... but lets just wait 'for a couple more shots' and see what replies we get, then we make our move sometime early May

but yeah shame that we could'nt get any other newer boards at this moment of time... the OLD dinosaur is leaving us (not for long i hope!) next week... so i guess its up to me and Spadgy to keep this going until the OLD REX returns

he needs to pick up a bike for little 'Truxton' just behind goodge street... most probably a chinese abit after that...
then off to his mates 'lads-night' somewhere in covent garden just to show his face (its not that is all that...lol)...
join us if you could, we'll be at casino about half six, you have me number

Gutted I missed DEL's send off.

Anyway - you're right CHI - we'll keep things going on the shmup front - no doubt at all! Me and you and m0nks will always be there, and along with Tigershark, Taylor, Skykid, Rupert H, Ravid, Durango, Devil Soundwave and others cropping up occasionally, there's plenty of playing and soicialising at Casino ahead of us.

On that note, maybe we should sort another meet soon so we can lure in RGC and our friends further afield.

Finally - I met with Skykid on Saturday (thanks so much for the stuff Skykid!), and so I have your posters and a DVD for your CHI (from Skykid).

I'm definitely going to be in this week, and I'll bring Turbo Force with me (Power Down!), and if The Engineer is in we'll install that and I'll take back Dogyuun...

Whats this about Del's send off, is he leaving the uk for good or something, not that he bothered playing arcades and just committing himself to gambling machines. we'll i guess he really needs to commit to being a father and his business side of things. Was gonna head down tonight but baled out last minute. should be down tomorrow hopefully after i've cast my vote.
Wouldn't mind seeing shock troopers put in as i love that game way above Metal Slug, playablity and soundtrack wise.

It's a shooter that's just as good fun two player as one-player as well. I'll bring it along tomorrow with Turbo Force just in case.

No - the engineer went AWOL, but I'll be bringing Turbo Force along again tonight, and in about 7.15pm.

Perhaps CHI could bring Sol Divide or Flying Shark too!

Dogyuun is staying for now though...
