I'm getting close to a 1cc on Shiki II, but keep getting distracted by other games:
Gradius V
Raiden IV
BWR Plus
Imperishable Night
and still a little Ikaruga here and there

Anyone else have this problem? My attention is way too divided to make serious progress on any of the above games (not a good combination with not having a whole lot of video game time to begin with...)

I like it a lot, reminds me a lot of KiKi KaiKai with improved everything. Some of the later autoscrolling stages gets quite manic as well.

Cho Ren Sha, which no longer seems to like Wine [I blame Ubuntu 10.04, it worked fine in 9.04...].

Got to level 3, and I MISSED THE FUCKING 1UP. This distracted me so much that I proceeded to suck ass, despite the fact that I was doing a really smooth run, no miss, mostly full bomb stock, and generally enjoying myself.

Crimzon Clover demo. Damn, what an awesome game. Starting to consistently get about 12bil out of Stage 1...and I know I can double that shortly once I get a true handle on scoring. Easily as good as ( if not better than ) most commercial shmups out there.

More Cho Ren Sha, have to play it in MESS. Windows MESS even [in Wine, it runs totally fine BTW], because I cannot for the life of me find a Linux binary.

Got to level 5 [if only because of the massive slowdown, level 4 really runs badly, and it's all because of how slow the original X68000 is]. Died on the boss [which ran full speed, and I wasn't paying attention, and I was out of bombs anyway].

Oh, and I forgot how awesome the music in this was. Like, wow. I love the level 4 song. Level 5 one, not so much.

Been playing some Eden's Aegis the last couple of days. Really fun game Definitely makes waiting for Mushi Futari to get here a lot easier (ordered it over the weekend).

Espgaluda II, Mushihime-sama Futari, and DeathSmiles. Yeah, I finally got an Xbox 360. Unfortunately I only have a tiny black and white TV to play on right now. Bummer.

So far I've been enjoying DeathSmiles the most. Probably because it's the easiest of the three, and I kinda suck at shmups. But I think I'm getting close to my first 1CC here.

Woohoo! Mushi Futari 1.5 just came in, and I finally got to try it out. I've only spent about 45 min. on it so far, but am loving it. Once I get done cooking dinner and eating it, I'll pop it back in for a while this evening.

p.s. How to choose between so many modes??
