Calling All Phoenix Area Puzzle Gamers!

I'm trying to drum up some local interest in this year's Devastation gaming event. Devastation is typically known for fighting game competition, but they are open to other genres and I'm in contact with the organizers regarding getting some puzzle game action going. Basically this thread is to get an idea of how much local interest there is for the puzzle genre.

As much as I'd like to drop heavy hitters like Landmaker and Tetris Battle Gaiden on them, I think they need to start w/ some flashy stuff to draw people in. So far I've recommended to them titles that are easily accessible on modern consoles:

It'd sure be nice to play some proper arcade puzzler PCBs like Seibu Kaihatsu's Battle Balls/Senkyu, Aruze's Hanabi De Joon on the Seta Aleck64 mobo, and some other stellar arcade puzzlers. Of course, that'd entail bringing them proper candy cabs or supergun setups for folks to try 'em out.

I've seen a lone candy cab with Cave's Uo Poko showcased at the once-a-year California Extreme show...it wasn't shown at the 2009 CAX show though.

Great selection of puzzle games you presented at the event. You always manage to come up with titles I have never seen and are intriguing in some way. What else do you have?

Did this really happen? I watched the Devastation stream and DJ Wheat mentioned that the puzzle game stuff unfortunately fell through.
