Ok, so in an attempt to adjust the voltage on my Astro City cabinet, I think I broke the pot that adjust the voltage on my power supply. My first question is do you think it would be worth my time to try and get this fixed? Is it even fixable?
Second question is I have a New Astro City power supply with sound amp underneath it, giant thing. Does anyone know what molex connectors I need to match up with my Astro City? I tried to install it once and they don't match. I can take pictures later.
Third I assume I can buy this: http://www.jammaboards.com/store/15a-ar ... d_251.html cut the molex connectors off and hook the wires up to this. That way I don't have to use a multimeter for checking voltage. I can just look right here and easily adjust it.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks in advance. Also, the power supply in the cab now isn't broken, but is stuck at 4.78v, not the 4.6v I need to play the Battle Bakraid board I just picked up.
Astro City PSU predicament
Re: Astro City PSU predicament
Get the original PS fixed, its just a potentiometer you can probably source quite easily. Don't hack apart your wiring for that cheap switched supply for jammaboards, you'll regret it.
I have a spare New Astro City wiring loom (some wires are cut though), so take a pic of your other spare power supply and I'll see if it matches.

Re: Astro City PSU predicament
First the old power supply where I screwed up the voltage adjustment pot.

Next the spare power supply I have with massive sound amp? underneath. I'm pretty sure I can disconnect that and just use the power supply by itself without hooking it up.

My predicament was figuring out what molex connectors were what, and then finding a place to sell me one. I think River Service has one on their site, but I doubt they're going to send a $1 part to the US.
