Here's PCE-FX's score for Raiden Fighters-1...

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

I got a high score of 3,691,360 points and reached Stage 4 with the Judge Spear craft. Date is late 2004. This is using a SP-1 mobo with Japanese Bios region and Japanese RF-1 cart.

ehm... the screen shows a lower score than what you wrote. Did you take the wrong picture, or is that score from another game maybe?

That's a funny little bug.

@sht_ycw79: Your initials wouldn't happen to stand for the initials of a certain female cantonese pop singer would it? (My avatar) It caught my eye because I used YCW a few times playing Raiden Fighters Jet.

@raiden: Maybe you should divide the table? I'd say RF2's 49 million deserves a number 1 slot. It's really not fair to combine 1 loop and 2 loop scores on a single table. Sorry to butt in on a thread that I haven't posted a score on yet, but just my two cents.

I'd also be curious to know if that 100 million score was played on the 2000 version PCB. Either way YCW must be a very skilled player, but if it was played on the original version, we have a real expert in our midst. Look at it this way: The world record w/ slave for the single loop version is 55 million plus including the all clear bonus. YCW would have had to probably exceed the world record for the first loop and then get at least an additional fifty million or so in the second loop. This would include some pretty extreme bullet scraping as well as all bonuses and tricks through both loops.

ok, I can do that, but I need everybody to specify which version they played. Btw. I think I made another mistake there, my PCB is not the jp., but a western version, probably euro. Is the jp. version the only one that doesn´t loop?

Stupidly ate a bullet trying to catch a bomb. Bit it twice at the final boss thanks to bullet path miscalculation, something I don't seem to be as vulnerable to in a real machine.

US Revision
Twiddle - 41,624,760 - Slave (Judge Spear) - 2-1

You can actually get more points on the second loop, (around 58 million) since you can start out with a 100k medal.

And there is no 2000 edition for the first RF.
