How do you know what resolution you're using? Do you play on your computer or something? I really have no idea what that would translate to on a TV. Maybe (certainly) I'm just retarded.

^^I'm pretty sure the game's native resolution is 320x240
However, having it set to 640x480 is exact 2x scaling which is pretty much the next best thing with a good CRT.

You can check/set the output resolution in the 360's video settings menu.

How do you set it to 640x480?

Though that info may have been contained in your post for all I know >_>

I was refering to xbox 360 mode which clearly runs higher than that... or do you actually play the arcade mode?

SH3 is something around 38Xx240 if I'm not mistaken. It's higher than 320. If you want to play the game in 480p for example, on an arcade monitor, you just set your system to 480p int the X360 dashboard. Arcade mode will still look like shit unless you set it to 480i and run it on a 15khz compatible device (at which point it will only look like crap).

Don't the typical monitors they use in candy cabs have a 4:3 aspect ratio? That seems odd if that hardware did output at something like 380x240, unless they did intend the final image to be scrunched 40 less pixels vertically.

Everything is designed around non-square pixels, which you can do with a CRT and a non-standard pixel clock. The pixel aspect on the PGM hardware for Ketsui/DOJ/Galuda is even more ridiculous, something like 448x224.

There's a new patch out for the 360 version. All scores have been reset. I don't know what else has changed.

Not for me. All online and offline scores remain after installing the patch.

Check the friends-only option for different leaderboards. I can't get any scores to load in that, although I can see someone that I know is on my friends list by digging through it manually.

It's actually a global problem, someone I know in Canada was also mentioning it.

Is their any good resources for videos for this as I only started it last night and Im still getting to grips with it. I understand the mechanics fine just places best to use the slowdown version button (the one so they chase you with bullets). I did have a odd first level where I got 15million by accident but rest of time its about 2 and finish the game scraping 7mill by end of level 2

Is their a bug on this as well or when you reset with button/option menu it doesnt save the score on 360 mode Ive noticed at end?

Also apologies as my brain forgets things but whats peoples best stick setup for buttons as ive tried using the TE SFIV stick with A for shot, X the rapid shot, Y the barrier slowdown thing and RB for smartbomb/shield but its abit spaced. Seems to be alot of buttons to contend with

Loving it though could be my fav from first play feelings

If your 360 is connected to the internet, check the leaderboards, as there are replays that you can download and watch right in your console.

Finally I played this game today.
Since my 360 is fucked I went in one games place in order of play this.
I had the caution of take off the manual and the cart of game box before get out of my house ( :D I don't like the peoples think I am gay). In TV I was playing the game looked really bad and the volume was low, then I can't say nothing about graphics/music (well, who cares). I played 3 runs like one noob and got the forth stage in my fist run (bombing and kakusing all in my way :D ). In general I liked of game aspects.
I had one strange felling while I was playing: The game looked run very smooth, like 100 fps (maybe I have watched too many bad quality vids lately  )

Yes, the game place was full that pretty annoying boys which don't stop of say bullshits like: this seems one game for baby, this game need be 10 years of age, this game is impossible, this guy never lose, he passed inside of bullets and don't get hit... My desire was shoot the controller in these boys.

Cool!

Someone from my friendslist did just ask me if the scores had been resettet -that's why I looked for any known problems here first. We're both from Germany, so this IS a global problem.

Doesn't it normally only display 6 no matter how many you have? (I have never actually played arrange, only watched a replay or two)

Yes, I was just playing some Arrange and that's true. That's pretty strange maybe I'll give it another go.

Arrange Mode is not supposed to display more than 5 extends.

Could this be something included in the recent title update? I don't see why it would suddenly start displaying more than the usual five otherwise.

That's what I thought at first... but after playing 5 or 6 more times, it never replicated. So it was certainly a glitch.

There is a glitch to get 7 lives in the arcade version, and it looks like it still works in arrange mode. Odd that it wasn't fixed.
