Why does this only happen to me? PC woes.

Seems I can't catch a break. About 8 months ago, my first computer went up in smoke due to a short or an overload. Last night, my current system was working perfectly fine, running Yahoo Messenger, Firefox, and SNES 9X ( with Run Saber)...

Then a loud "TKLANG!" was heard, and the system died. I suspected HDD failure, or something heating up and being shot from the mother board. It seems it was only the power supply, as I used an old one to power on the board, and the lights came on. I'll buy another one today, and if all goes well, my system will be back up and running.

But.. "TKLANG"? I thought systems died more silently.

I don't want to have to spend another 500 dollars on a replacement system. I need that money to move, and fix a broken molar.

Well, it turns out it was only the power supply. I'm relieved. Still have to check my smaller HDD and the DVD rom, but the board, CPU and main HDD work just fine.

Yeah, I know the London attack is more important, but thanks to anyone who read this thread.

Yah, I know. I was just being silly. Do tell me how the baby works. Can you connect a DC VGA box to it? And how does it look? Don't tell me it gets VGA quality on that huge screen, because if it does, I"m going to hyperventilate.
