Replacement parts for Sega New Astro City cab?

Post by TastySoil »

I'm looking for a metal coin acceptor to replace my crappy plastic nicotine stained one. Also looking for a replacement screw by the speakers (that has a little star design on it). Is there an online shop that anyone knows of that carries new astro city spare parts? thanks for the heads up!

P.S. anyone else have trouble with the ball-tops on the joysticks coming unscrewed while playing? It's getting super annoying & not sure if I buy new ball tops if they will screw on tighter & stay put, or if I should just put super glue in there?

Are you hand tightening the ball tops? On the bottom of the shaft there is generally a slot for a slotted screwdriver to allow you to tighten it properly.

this helped! The ball tops don't come loose anymore. thanks!!

That link to the website a few posts above has some nice parts, but looks like the metal coin acceptor i'm looking for is out of stock. Anyone else know of a place to get these? How about a single player control panel? Any other online stores with spare parts for a New Astro City would be awesome!

If I come across one while searching myself i'll make sure to let you know!

I'm still looking for a metal coin acceptor too, but not having any luck -- all the places that sell them seem to be sold out.

I got mine from excellentcom. E-mail Fannie (fannie@excellentcom.net) for a complete stock list, their website is not showing all the parts they carry.

Panels and some other stuff:
