Wii Light gun games that support motion plus

Post by D »

Maybe a dumb question, probably is, but with the motion plus being more accuate and all, are there any light gun games that support it?
That and what are the better light gun games and what zapper should I get?
And does the zapper allow the motion plus in case of the first question making any sense

and.....will there be more light gun games for ps3?

As far as I know, there are no light-gun style games which support Motion Plus. There aren't many games period that support the thing, yet.

As for what games to get, I've had a lot of fun with Ghost Squad and House of the Dead 2 & 3. I've heard Dead Space Extraction is really good, too.

MotionPlus doesn't do anything to improve light gun games, since they're just using the remote as a pointing device. MotionPlus has nothing to do with the IR pointer, it's for more precise recognization of complex hand gestures, the motion of the controller.

I wouldn't bother with a Zapper. The mechanics of the Wii remote mean that rail shooters operate with an on-screen reticle rather than aiming down sights, and it works just fine that way. I usually get bored of rail shooters pretty quickly, so when I say that House of the Dead: Overkill and Dead Space: Extraction are among my favourite Wii games, that should indicate just how great they are.

Technically it could be really helpful when the cursor gets "out of bounds" - when it could just calculate the position of the cursor.

I don't know about other games but Ghost Squad lets you calibrate the pointer so that you CAN look down the sights accurately. It works surprisingly well!
