PC Engine Fan X! wrote:So what are the specs and model no. on that cool headphones set, ATH-A700s? Sounds like it set you back some serious $$$. Are they pretty good with heavy bass output as well? And would you say that they are good enough for DJing or just some serious pro-audio reference studio headphones hooked up to an A/V stereo reciever/amp instead?

I've got an older Techinca produced PR-HT600 stereo headphones with solid heavy bass output...it still works like a charm despite it's age.

PC Engine Fan X! ^_~
Copy and pasted from another site:
Model number: ATH-A700. Yea, I named myself after my headphones. :D
Type: Stereo closed ear headphones with closed-back Double Air Damping system
Frequency Response: 5Hz to 35kHz
Maximum Input: Power 500 mW
Sensitivity: 102 dB/mW at 1kHz
Impedance: 64 ohms
Driver: Propriety 53 mm drivers with neodymium magnet and CCAW voice coils
Self-adjusting 3D Wing Support Housing
Weight: 290 g
Chord: 3 meter oxygen-free copper cloth-wrapped cable
Connector: 1/8" (3.5 mm) mini stereo, gold-plated
Accessory Included: Detachable 1/4" (6.3 mm) adapter
Ear Pads: Audio-Technica total ear fitting design
Price: $299 ($150 street)

These are audiophile quality headphones, so the headphones are designed for all around balance. Many people agree the bass is good and I agree, many people say these aren't designed for DJing, but I'm not a DJ so I wouldn't know. A lot of people also say that these don't need an amp at all, since they are closed-back headphones and create bass easily, so to conclude, these are for any user seeking incredibly good sound without breaking the bank.
Speaking of breaking the bank, I spent 122 dollars on these, 112 for the headphones and 10 in tax. It did set me back quite a bit in terms of funds, but that is because I'm a student that is too young to get a job.
Btw: I've only used these for a few hours, and I can say I have 2 cons with them.
The first is the fact that these just aren't portable. These are huge headphones with huge speakers; I probably wouldn't even fit it into my bag with all my schoolbooks in it.
The 2nd is quite minor, and if you move around your head or move the headphones around without any music playing, you'll generate a little bit of noise. It's no problem for me though, since I tend to listen to loud music.
These headphones do a really good job though, at first I thought they didn't fit me, but they do a very nice sounding, comfortable job.

It's true. I know level three is the most iconic, but I was holding out for level one and they'd sold out. I want to dry my face with Dobkeratops damn it.

Ha ha, no it's not, I was only kidding.

They're really cool though, I think I've seen the stg.1 on here before too and that's my preferred design also.

I've been holding out for quite some time, but I decided to take the plunge and buy an e-book reader (with a proper e-ink display and well supported marketplace infrastructure).

I settled on the Barnes & Noble NOOK.
Quite nice...I'm really enjoying it.

Don't worry Rupert. Skykid doesn't wash - so he just doesn't need one.

Stage 2 and Stage 3 seem to be still up for order on Irem's store for 1200 yen. Maybe one of the board's Japanese residents would be willing to act as a middleman

Ah - £9. That does make the eBay price seem a little steep!

o.O!!!!

Cars are some of the most expensive in Europe - the exception being older ones, especially with large engines - most used car buyers aren't looking for something that costs a lot to maintain.

I'm listening to the arragned version right now, I actually prefer that over the original version. But both are awesome of course.

Yeah, that was perhaps a little unnecessary. But I love the cover of the OST and I am somewhat of a Zuntata collector...
