Help finding a shmup! (PC)

My friend put some shmup on my computer a while back but I had to format my hard drive, and I lost it.

The shmup I am looking for is a japanese one. It is not very heavy on the graphics, but nevertheless, it is fun to play. Your ship is this little green one and you oly fight one ship at a time. The game itself is very smart. If you destory the enemy by shooting out the sides first, in the next level the sides will be more armoured. However, if you destroy the ship by shooting the middle, the middle will be armoured. The more you progress in the game, the larger the enemy ship becomes.

The scrolling graphics are just like virtual lines, so it looks like you are flying through cyber space.

I cannot remember the name, so any help at all will be welcomed.

Yep! WF is one of my top fave shmups of all time, you got good taste in shumps my friend

i haven't played WF in so long, it is indeed great, and whats more free.
