Found out about this title while browsing, thought I should share this with you:
There's a new DS title in the works, called XG Blast. Scheduled release date for PAL territories is November 2008, with Rising Star Games being the publsiher. No word on a NTSC release yet.
The first batch of screenshots make XG Blast look like an area shoot'em up, with the subgenre's typical features (walls, space themed backgrounds, multiplier) .
From the press release description, the game's gimmick seems to be a gravity weapon.
Screenhosts, game story (sounds a bit like Farscape to me) and my sources here:

Anybody knows who is developing this? To my knowledge, Rising Star Games never developed a game themselves.
Also, I hope the boxart will be changed. Not another Bubble Bobble Revolution piece of "artwork" please.

Re: XG Blast (NDS)
Now will that be two or three years after they release Illvelo?
Of course, that's just an opinion.

No "Play Just 4 Fun" packaging? Shame on you UFO!

I own this game on the DS, UK version, for months now.
Pale imitation of Geometry Wars. Stylus controls are unusable since you actually move your ship on the same screen where it is displayed (!) Gameplay is quite boring even though boss fights break the monotony.
