Here is the blank title screen background:

Yes, you're probably right. I'll wait for Alluro to comment first though. Don't want to spam the thread. On another note: I've began writing original music for XF-R. Ship select is almost complete.worstplayer wrote:Really nice. I would just change color of the glow a bit (pure white maybe?), so it doesn't look like default Photoshop preset.

I like this one a lot. As noted above, changing the glow color will make it even better.emphatic wrote:

Yes, that one looks cool. It'd be awesome if you could somehow apply a more pixelated old-school look (like in RFJ) with less colours. As it is it looks too "modern" or hi-res to me.Alluro wrote:I like this one a lot. As noted above, changing the glow color will make it even better.emphatic wrote:
So, what color then? White, blue, red.Alluro wrote:I like this one a lot. As noted above, changing the glow color will make it even better.

I think I still like the original one from a few posts up the best yet. That peeking ship thing certainly has something intriguing, though.emphatic wrote:![]()

Sorry, I don't know how to get a GOOD pixel look. I tried by loosing 50% size, than resizing it back to 100% without anti-alias, but it got that instant CRAP look.I sorta like this peeking ship idea I got.
Edit: Added a more stylized one that I think looks even better. It has some fire!
Yeah, I doubt there will be any new renders since Isotoxin is long gone...Herr Schatten wrote:I have no idea how to include the ships, though.
Wow, that's incredible!Herr Schatten wrote:emphatic sent me his files (thanks!) and I tinkered around with them a bit. Yes, I took a lot of inspiration from RFJ.

This is great. Nice, clean, pixelly.Herr Schatten wrote:emphatic sent me his files (thanks!) and I tinkered around with them a bit. Yes, I took a lot of inspiration from RFJ.

You have to destroy the satellite the moment before it times out (which is when the HURRY UP/DANGER signs come up). Destroying it before the warning comes or letting it time out results in OBJECTIVE FAILED.lilmanjs wrote:I hope the latest title screen pic that's been shown turns out to be the final one. also, I totally suck at the second stage boss. I always get objective failed. are you not supposed to use bombs or something?
A lot of people have criticized how hard it is to gauge how much damage the radar has taken by the time it is about to time out. For the next version, the radar has been given its own lifebar. It makes it infinitely easier to gauge how much damage you've dealt to the radar.lilmanjs wrote:looks like its gonna be a while before I ever get to 3-B in arcade mode
