Dave and crew, I haven't logged on for a while, but I'll be heading out in an hour or two. Can't wait to see you all and jam on some shooties. PS- sorry Dave, I don't have Ibara Black anymore.

All right, I'm heading out right now too! My guest, John, said that he'll be arriving at about noon time.

Dave, thanks for hosting this meet, and everyone, thanks for making it fun!

I wanted to like Muchi Muchi Pork but it was surprisingly a little too unforgiving. All I wanted to do was to survive, and I think I can get only one extra life -- I'm not sure whether getting an extra bomb is worth the effort. That leaves me with 3 spare lives and 8 bombs. Not much to work with! On the other hand, Espgaluda II has 5 spare lives, more than 20 uses of the guard barrier if I'm careful, and kakusei mode. I gravitated towards Espgaluda II, because I liked having more resources to work with.

I also wanted to blame my bad luck with Muchi Muchi Pork on being blindsided often, but it happened with Espgaluda II too -- so much for that. :)

Oh, if you wanted to contact my guest John, send me a PM and I'll forward your message to him.

Dang, I wanted to go to a SF Bay area meet for a long time... but had to study.

Did you guys play Ketsui (sorry I don't know if Dave has it or not on arcade).

Post pics please!?

Thanks!

Good Games to everybody yesterday (killer EspyII runs BER). TGM3 is so sweet and Muchi Muchi Pork makes me laugh so hard! Good to see you all and mega-thanks to Dave and his bitchen Taito Type X2.

I'm still seeing bullet patterns, I think they belong to Galuda II and Ketsui. Also, maybe we should start having a retro console of honor each time. :)

Great to see everyone, thanks again Dave.

Thanks everyone for coming, and making this another great event! Special thanks to Mikhail for brining his Deathsmiles PCB, to antron for brining his Gensis jamma setup, and to Louis for coincidentally having some genesis carts laying around in his car (hah!). It was a real unexpected treat to play so many cool genesis games on my Astro City cab.

Some select pics from the event, including Alec on TGM3, Mikhail playing Elemental Master, and the awesome Lightening Force/Thunder Force IV for Genesis.

Many thanks again to Dave from Ish and myself for hosting! Great to see everyone and I am glad I was able to make it thru the meet before coming down with a sickening sore throat this morning. Been staving it off all week long but it finally got me :(

Good to see everyone again and it really did feel like this time we were all able to interact a bit more than usual. Oh yeah, nothing like seeing some classic Genny goodness on a cab.

Before I get back in bed, I wanted to pass thanks along to your wife for the delicious red velvet cupcake minis, yum :D

fuckfuckfuckfuck, I completely forgot about this. Louis mentioned it while I was still in Japan and I thought "awesome, it's well after I'll be getting back." :(

Y'know Japan has some of the best game centers to patronize. I went to a few and was blown away by the diverse selection of genres. Makes them ol' American arcades look pretty pale in comparision. But with fellow shmuppers private arcade hangouts like Dave K.'s, it is well worth your time to pay a visit. There's always another time to attend one. ^_~

Been a couple years since I've met him, but Dave K is an awesome fellow. Folks in the area should definitely jump in on the next one. Most awesome home arcade I've ever seen.
