I have no idea what that means.
Anyway, basically it's like this: Go and download a replay of Arrange mode, and watch it. Say you downloaded a replay of someone using Tateha, playing at level 18. When the replay is over, it'll ask you a question (no, I dunno what it's saying), and you hit A to say yes. It'll save something.
You can then go into the game options menu and change the level, for Tateha, to 18 or below.
That's how I did it, I think that's how alot are doing it. If there's another way, I have no idea what it is. I'd love to hear of another way, though. Cause pretty much ALL of the replays are with Tateha, so if I wanna play using one of the other 2, well..... level 0 only, feh.

Re: Espgaluda II
This is the correct way to do it... however, don't let go until your gold counter is up pretty high. It can generally go back to zero fast enough if you let go too quickly...very frustrating. This is done perfectly on stages 1 & 2 of the super play, FYI...Ageha, anyway.StarCreator wrote: I'm sure this is explained better in Strategy, but the way I understand it is, you have to switch to Kakusei with no gold, but don't let go of the button even when switched; then when you kill an enemy and get the gold reward, you'll instantly switch upon collecting the gold.

Anyway, I've finally figured out Arrange mode's scoring. It's.. odd. Pretty much forces you to die in order to get gems to go into kakusei at certain points during boss fights.
Can someone explain Kakusei Zesshikai? What is the point of it in Black Label, when you can just spawn suicide bullets instead?
Re: Espgaluda II
Has Cave thrown out all of their scanline options or am just not clever enough to find them ?

I would have assumed that Futari and ESPII are running on the same emulation engine, so I'm wondering why they didn't port the Futari screen options over to their new release.....They never had any, unfortunately.
Re: Espgaluda II
It's because Futari was ported by M2 and ESP2 was ported by Cave.Fudoh wrote:I would have assumed that Futari and ESPII are running on the same emulation engine, so I'm wondering why they didn't port the Futari screen options over to their new release.....They never had any, unfortunately.

Not only screen options but how accurate the port was too.

You don't recall the Ibara and Mushihimesama ports...?Shelcoof wrote:

M2 ported those as well? I was just reffering to Futari in my last comment.m3tall1ca wrote:You don't recall the Ibara and Mushihimesama ports...?Shelcoof wrote:

I meant, "You're surprised that a third party did a better job than CAVE?" CAVE did the Ibara and Mushihimesama ports, and they were fairly awful.Shelcoof wrote:M2 ported those as well? Yeah, probably the worst of all Cave ports unfortunately (no comment on DDP BLEX, haven't played it.)m3tall1ca wrote: I meant, "You're surprised that a third party did a better job than CAVE?" CAVE did the Ibara and Mushihimesama ports, and they were fairly awful.

I wasn't actually aware who ported the two but remember people wanting to puke while playing the port lolm3tall1ca wrote: I meant, "You're surprised that a third party did a better job than CAVE?" CAVE did the Ibara and Mushihimesama ports, and they were fairly awful.
Re: Espgaluda II
is the Ibara port more difficult than the PCB
I've played both and I remember them both being tough as hell ... that being said, I still enjoyed the Ibara port and if ESPGaluda II is on the same wavelength then I'll probably have fun with this version.

Ibara's PS2 port has no slowdown whatsoever, where the PCB has a fair bit.

I guess that'd makes a lot of sense
I gave up on the PS2 Ibara after not being able to get past stage 3 for 2 months

You still don't have the PCB yet, do you. Get on that ^_~BIL wrote:Ibara's PS2 port has no slowdown whatsoever, where the PCB has a fair bit.
Stage 3 wouldn't be much of a problem without slowdown if the part I'm thinking of is affected, but later on, when you need to dodge, it might get a little bit hellish.
I also can't decide whether to dedicate the next few weeks/months to Galuda 2 or Futari Ultra. I think I'll just play Galuda 2. But that means no deviations, damnit!
Re: Espgaluda II
Heh, you got me. If I ever get into PCBs it'll be for Raizing / Cavezing stuff. Sad how so few of those games have ports compared to the other big guns. A little Garegga goes a friggin' long way, though.m3tall1ca wrote:You still don't have the PCB yet, do you. Get on that ^_~

I don't have the game yet neither the PCB, but come on, for what I have read it is not such a bad port. Even EOJ says its fidelity it is equal to the port of Futari.
Every cave fan should be happy to have such a god port, with all the extra stuff and even redone HD graphics. And most important is that most people won't need to invest hundreds fo dollars to have it.

Definitely glad to read it's come down on the harder rather than easier side of the slowdown fence.

Re: Espgaluda II
The PS2 port has slowdown, but it only triggers with a lot more stuff on the screen (IE really big medal showers on the last boss and stuff like that). The 3 train section in Stage 3 is really the only big deal though, that's a very active section and no slowdown makes it a real bitch to get all the bombs and medals.BIL wrote:Ibara's PS2 port has no slowdown whatsoever, where the PCB has a fair bit.

If you frequent web forums of any hobby (videogames, audio, cars, etc.) you'll see that people are always going to be anal about stuff no matter what. I'm guessing that this port is probably 90% of the original in terms of quality and I'd say that's probably enough to keep most people very happy.

Re: Espgaluda II
the slowdown does feel pretty different to the pcb(especially in Zesshikai) but trust me it's no real biggie unless you have been playing a shit ton of galuda 2 very recently and are just playing off muscle movements.
overall the package is very good and i am more than happy!

My thoughts exactly. Going to prove a fun waste of time for the next few weeks. I've decided that I'm going to hold off on Futari Ultra yet again for this new port.BIL wrote:Definitely glad to read it's come down on the harder rather than easier side of the slowdown fence.

Stop pretending you are good enough for that mode... wait... huh, you can really manage Ultra?I've decided that I'm going to hold off on Futari Ultra yet again for this new port.

I hope people start getting their copies of ESPG2 soond, seems like I was one of the few that got theirs on friday. The scoreboards are feeling awfully lonely, should be interesting to see what mode people gravitate towards. I had forgotten that Black Label was brand new, and this is big news about arrange increasing rank after each 1CC!

Re: Espgaluda II
Guarantee you could make progress if you dedicated yourself to the game. Personally, I'm solely going to play regular ol' ESPGaluda 2, probably in Arcade to make use of the tutorial glitch. Probably going to end up not playing it as I've done with the last dozen games I've started, but we'll see. Maybe I'll stick with it this time. I was shit-tastic at Galuda 1 scoring, but the last time I played Galuda 1 was probably around a year ago, and I've learned a few things since then.chempop wrote:Stop pretending you are good enough for that mode... wait... huh, you can really manage Ultra? :shock:I've decided that I'm going to hold off on Futari Ultra yet again for this new port.
