Anyone in/around Colorado Springs?

Post by thamasha69 »

I only know of myself and a buddy in town that actively play shmups. I have a lead on a couple others. Just looking for anyone interested in the genre that would like to play. I have the setup (supergun, pcb's, xrgb2, console ports of everything), just looking for others to partake. It would be great for some friendly competition, discussion, etc.

I'm in the Denver area. I had a mini meet up at my house back in Nov 08 and it would be cool to do something similar in the future. I have a weird work schedule, but can always make time for gaming.

A small meet sometime in the future would be great... just kind of hard I presume to figure out everyone's schedules. I'll keep my eyes posted if you are to plan another meet.

I'm in Colorado Springs (UCCS area). I don't play shmups as actively as I used to, but I'd probably go for a meetup if I could make it.

I can host something in April or May if you guys are interested. I'm in the middle of re-doing the downstairs room, but it should be done by then. I have two vert candies and a hori one. Plenty of room for arcade gaming. If someone else wanted to host one, that would work too. Just let me know.

That sounds like a lot of fun. April will be a rough month for me at work and I will be in California the last week. After that though, I'm down. I would love to see your setup twalden, I have never played on a real candy. I will have to talk to the old lady as far as hosting something at my place. Space is quite limited.

I'm in the Denver area as well.

I'm not to active on here anymore. In fact I can't remember my old old username that had all my old posts on it, so I had to start a new one a few months ago.

I'd also be down to meet up with some other shmuppers, I'm usually pretty available when I'm in town. But I do travel pretty regularly. The only travel plans I have right now though are I'll be in Tokyo March 25-April 1 and then Hong Kong from April 1-April 11. I plan on buying a Super Gun and hopefully at least a couple PCBs while I'm there.

I could get one going for the Middle of May if that would work for everyone.

I'd be down for a meet in May. I don't have much in the way of travel plans yet in May, and if I know early enough I can make sure I'll be in town whatever weekend we would select.

Would Saturday, May 15th work for everyone? Let me know and we'll get this rolling.

Yeah that should work for me. Its far enough in advance that I can make sure I won't be out of town that weekend.
