Seems a lot more doable than Bloody Jitterbug or getting to the Futari Ultra TLB anyway.

Also that score breakdown window is interesting but I wonder what all the numbers mean.

That's awesome that the screen settings are independent for each game. That was a minor problem with Futari.

Wait a second. In Arrange mode, do your shots destroy the blue bullets in normal mode, and the red ones in Kakusei mode?

Shots cancel blue bullets and laser cancels red bullets. They turn into gems when you do this.

In Kakusei they just cancel more or less as normal.

Isn't Arrange Yagawa's mode? I thought this would even top the difficulty of the normal game...

Perhaps using bombs manually gives you a score advantage, as in Futari Arrange?

Just a few more days... watching the videos is making me more excited, although I prefer the overall interface of Futari tbh. Here it looks like there might be load time any time you switch modes (like from Training to Score Attack, etc.) even if you're playing the same version. Maybe I'll be wrong...

I would really appreciate the efforts of anyone kind enough to translate the Achievements, for us poor souls whose "consoles" can only run in English. =) Thanks in advance!

Bombs in the normal modes of both galuda 1 and 2 indirectly gave you a score advantage, ala killing the midbosses quickly with them (what the good replay guys seem to do anyways). I wonder if it'll directly be good for score by just cancelling a lot of bullets with them, but I kind of doubt it.

So does the autobomb in arrange activate no matter what mode you're in?

He didn't autobomb in the vid so I'm not sure where you guys are getting this autobomb thing from. And bombing is going to be bad anyway seeing as it clears the screen of bullets.

Whoa, in Black Label you actually lose points by utilizing the bullet proximity slowdown while not in Kakusei. Check the PV at about 0:52 - 0:55. Did everybody miss this or am I just a dumbass who missed the post(s) about it?

I want a negative score. PLZ let this be possible.

Anyway, I took a whack at babelfishing/bullshitting the achievement list because I'm dying to know what's on it and nobody's commented on it except GP. For the equally curious, I submit the following...with the caveat that you're probably better off waiting for a proper translation from nZero or somebody.
Arcade/Novice/Xbox 360 modes

Argh! Just got this news from NCSX:
Japanese Customs Computer Bottleneck (JCCB)

UPS Shipment Delay

When shipping "Express" packages from Japan, we tend to hope for quick delivery. Speed is the reason why the going rate for UPS Worldwide Express is what it is compared to a service like EMS which costs about 1/3 less and delivers 3 days later. Yesterday, the following tracking result popped up on all of our UPS shipments from multiple Japanese vendors:

COMPUTER SYSTEM BREAKDOWN-PACKAGE DATA PROCESSING NOT POSSIBLE-NO CONNECTION TO CUSTOMS SYSTEM / DELIVERY RESCHEDULED

Maybe it was an erroneous message so we spoke to a UPS representative and pointed out the error message to him. He'd never seen such a message in his entire life. He sounded like an old dude too. His supervisor who had "seen it all" hadn't seen that message before either. In the two decades that NCS has shipped with UPS, that message has never appeared on any of our packages. Guess it was about time that it did appear and it was great that it happened on the day that some of our biggest shipments of the year were trying to escape from Japan.

We're disappointed. Tonight was supposed to be "Espgaluda II Night NYC." As of right now, it looks more like "Frozen TV Dinner Night 2010." The fare will include greasy Salisbury steak, congealed gravy, and mushy peas. If we're lucky, the dessert brownie will have a rock baked into it.

As of this morning, the shipments are on the way but they're a day late and won't arrive until tomorrow. If there isn't any further botching of shipments, all preorders for Espgaluda II (Regular and Limited Edition) will ship out tomorrow along with preorders for the other new releases including PSP BlazBlue Portable, PSP Kenka Banchou 4, etc.

I've tried reading through the GD thread, but I'm super-confused with everything. Part of me wants to figure it out; another part of me wants to just go into the game blind and enjoy it that way. It's not like I'm anything close to being skilled enough for a halfway decent score, haha. I'm looking forward to its arrival on my doorstep (*insert tracking comment and/or delay comment here*).

Shucks, most of it looks great to me, mind if I copy the format for my thread? I haven't had much motivation to translate it myself, because honestly I don't understand all of the different game systems involved, and probably won't completely get it until I've got the chance to try them all out.

A couple of notes: it's not just downloading the replay, you also have to achieve a higher level. Also, it's going from full gold (1000) to 0 in one shot, rather than the other way around.

i tried to explain what little i know about it (just the basics, i'm pretty bad at it), unclear if it's helpful, and if you want to go in blind just ignore this:

in normal mode shooting enemies gives you green gems, you need these to go into the first slowdown mode (i don't know what they're called - the one where you tap the button),

in the first slowdown mode killing enemies gives you gold from their bullets (like in espgaluda 1), to go into the second slowdown mode (hold the button) you need both gold and green gems,

in the second slowdown mode when you kill an enemy, it's bullets dissapear briefly then double and head towards you and give you a big score multiplier (or something like that?) - this is where you get all the points, or not in my case.

in both slowdown modes you automatically use some of your bomb/barrier instead of dying, and there's the over modes where the bullets go faster, which happens when you run out of gold/green gems in the slowdown modes.
