Just watched the new vid on jp xbl, I'm really diggin' the art style. Futari's style got on my nerves, too much pastel and fantasy. Espgaluda looks dope. It's hard to tell what's up with the new modes

I'm glad of this - or buying that JP 360 was a waste!I assure you that Espgaluda II Black Label Normal Edition will be the last region free game for the time being.

Initially region locked in hopes someone would buy the rights to localize it. Then unlocked because it didn't seem like anyone was going to, and they wanted to test and see if the import sales would be worth it or not, and because fans were asking for it. Now locked again because Aksys is going to do localizations of all the games.shmup-o wrote:I'm not sure if this belongs here or not, but wtf is Cave doing? Aksys has confirmed this? There was so much noise in this thread I might have missed that bit of news.Gwyrgyn Blood wrote:Initially region locked in hopes someone would buy the rights to localize it. My feelings are different, even though I own a J360 I'd rather have a game be more accesable for players than locked for the small amount of people who can afford it.speedlolita wrote:I'm glad of this - or buying that JP 360 was a waste!I assure you that Espgaluda II Black Label Normal Edition will be the last region free game for the time being.

I think it's just supposition that since they've picked up Deathsmiles that the would possibly pick up other region locked titles as well, assuming it doesn't completely tank and cost them money.shmup-o wrote:Aksys has confirmed this? Got any infos if this is going for europe too? Or is Aksys doing region-free us-releases?Gwyrgyn Blood wrote:Initially region locked in hopes someone would buy the rights to localize it. Yeah we should probably just confine serious, on topic posts to that topic and allow this one to be washed away in a deluge of "region free" and "shipping" posts.

the more i think about it, the time i spent on espgaluda 2 on pcb, it was awesome but its gonna be hard for novice players and players wont experience the full enjoyment unless they get the complex scoring system. Surprised to see Espgaluda 2 released after futari

Re: Espgaluda II
I don't think this will be the case. Since Futari included a Novice mode for non experienced players I am quite sure that Cave has done the same with Espgaluda 2. While it won't be the full experience at least it will do a great job in non frustrating noobs and probably it will encourage them to try harder modes.PsikyoPshumpPshooterP wrote:the more i think about it, the time i spent on espgaluda 2 on pcb, it was awesome but its gonna be hard for novice players and players wont experience the full enjoyment unless they get the complex scoring system. ^Yeehaw! i think most of us share your enthusiasm.
Really lame question, but is this game single player only? I'm not sure how it would work with two players with the whole bullet speed mechanic.

Re: Espgaluda II
For anyone who cares (maybe the dude from Peaceful Death?) here are hugeass versions of the covers from Amazon.
normal edition cover (1524px × 2161px)
limited edition cover (also 1524px × 2161px)
(Thanks to nat and neogaf)
Anyway, the Play×Play video is on nico (this link should work if you're too lazy to register) If you're dying to watch a Japanese girl shriek her way through the first level of BL on novice and the first 1.5 levels of BL on normal, this is must-see footage.
Something I noticed: The bullets appear to slow down when they're very close to you, even when not in kakusei. This is new to BL, right?
also asada's hair lololol

No, you can play 2P. It would probably be a carnival of fail, but you can.chempop wrote:Really lame question, but is this game single player only?
Is Let's Play different than Play×Play? I can't be arsed to get a JP GT to have a look.Elixir wrote:There's a Let's Play video of Galuda 2 on the JP marketplace if anyone is interested.

I have also had a good time seeing the girl cry, but I have to admit that she plays rather well, at least from a noob view point.
Now what I am debating is if Cave has planned to release some DLC content for the game since it looks like all the modes will be included in the game from start.

To be honest I like the SE cover more. The LE cover isn't very exciting.
