Making business deals doesnt just happen and especially doesn't happen overnight either. Talking to multiple different companies to settle a deal, having programmers communicate with each other and share source codes and information, trust me, it takes up their time.
How about the fact that we just wanted Deathsmiles, is that okay with you?
I mean, it had cute lolis and all, and we just couldn't turn down the lolis.

according to the book "The World is Flat" by Thomas L. Friedman, Japan does outsource phone support to a region in China that was "settled" by Japanese.

Does settled mean "invaded and pillaged"? Would like to read more... although it sounds like bullshit though.... or at least not very common. They're not going to outsource to a non-native speaker. Keigo (honorofic speaking) is one of the more difficult aspects of the language, and quite important. Every time I've called any time of support or billing inquiry or whatever it's been a native speaker hands down.
To put things into perspective, it's only within the last few years that finding Chinese immigrants working in convenience stores is somewhat commonplace.

...I'm linking the rest of the article for completeness' sake, but you don't want to bother reading it.
They complain of the screen being 4:3 on a widescreen monitor? But you can even stretch it if you (really) wanted to..
It's IGN, they aren't exactly a rational bunch. More concerned with filling the screen than the fact that a 16:9 play area would be way too big to manage.
I noticed when they talked about modes there was no mention of Black Label, which suggests it will still be a download. I was kind of hoping it would be bundled, based on the new edition being released in JP.

So the Japanese LE only got an arrange soundtrack CD and the American release might get that awesome faceplate! It will probably still be cheaper than the Japanese LE cost me as well.

Those are some sweet-looking sticks you've got there. Might as well complete them with that DS X-Box 360
I actually made a Windia mousepad as well. But I already have a faceplate, the problem is that they get very easily scratched if you're using the USB slots. And if you're like me, you're going to want to use a converter to use the sticks or a PS2 Saturn pad with. I might have to end up buying two, one for use, one for storage. I'm pretty sure the bottom of that faceplate will scratch pretty easily unless you don't bother with the USB slots.
I suppose it could be avoided if you use a wirelerss stick, but at that rate you might as well use the 360's dpad.
Sooooooo... how long until the official cover art? Did they ask CAVE for a brand new, less lolitastic one? Play-Asia is already listing the game and I assume Amazon will soon if it isn't already.
Seriously considering picking this up unless they put a Mobile Light Force kind of cover.

Yeah, plugging the controllers into the USB slots repeatedly is definitely gonna wear off the faceplate. I tend to generally avoid wireless sticks because there will probably be some input lag as compared to using a wired controller.
In Germany, we shoot Pink Bullets. In Japan, we offer Pink Sweets.

Observer wrote:So, next step is preordering this...
Depending how they release this, pre-ordering may not be possible. GameStop and most other major gaming retailers do not allow pre-orders on games that don't have high demand or 360 games that release at under $40, they don't think its worth the trouble of ordering it unless they're making $40. They tell you "you just have to come in after its released and see if we have it." And there are a number of Aksys's other games that were never even carried AT ALL in most stores because there was so little demand for them. So we'll see what happens.
I'm a bit rusted when it comes to how they distribute games (considering all I bought last year and 2008 were doujin games or older shooters) so thanks for pointing that out. I want to maintain a clear mind and stay positive.

Gamestop will let you preorder anythng you want! I've preordered Raiden4 and Onechambara! They have encouraged it so I get on release. Be polite and know what you want. Wait till the release is closer

Both of those were $40. The same day OneChanBara came out, I had had asked to also pre-order the Sonic Genesis Collection for 360 and every store I went to told me I couldn't because it was released at $30, I just had to hope they had copies left when I came in, but I had reserved OneChan about a month before that because it was $40.

This is true.
Gamestop would not preorder raiden fighters aces for me. However, I was told to go to the gamestop website and preorder it on there and use the option to have it ship to a store of my choosing. This way I can preorder it and be able to pick it up on the day of release. I'm still waiting for them to list Deathsmiles on the site.
I was thinking preordering at amazon as an alternative. I have not used that site to preorder games yet. Would I get the game on the day it comes out?

I don't know what crack your local Gamestop employees were smoking, but Raiden Fighters Aces was a reservable title. Before it came out, I had 5 people who had it reserved at my store.
