Yeah, got my pad in the mail and decided to try it out. It was pretty effortless (if you want to see real effort, check the Top 20 Bomberman Live players). At about level 130 of the "save the earth" stage it's impossible to keep them from passing you, meaning you're restricted to a single path until you either get hit, or the earth is destroyed.

Still, I think I can do way better. The first Hibachi-like one is done by abusing a safespot bottom left of the screen (check the #1 ranked replay for more).

I think Trizeal is pretty stupid, too. Like, you actually have to pause the screen in order for an enemy to drop you a bomb. Or you need to shoot x amount of times for something to appear. What the hell? I can understand Miclus' in Raiden Fighters, but shooting 24 times for something to appear at x point in a shmup is just dumb.

Anyone still able to help with this one? I was stuck with the other ones rtw listed but saw they've already been answered in the thread. This one, on the other hand, continues to confuse me...

You "just" got to shoot the core as fast as possible, which implies to wait for the ship to turn a little, move close to him and shoot right in its middle.

Hint : either with a pad or a stick, every button is used for shoot, so mash them all, not just one, you'll have an increased fire power.

'm really enjoying Trizeal Remix, but the language barrier is a problem for me on Skills Test. At the main menu screen the first option for Skills Test lets you choose, 1, something else, or 2, and then the second option is marked 4. What are all these?

1, 2 and 4 players.

The second one is selecting the stages manually if I remember correctly.

Somewhat out of the blue, but there are now Shooting Love gamer icons and a premium theme available.

I pulled down the theme (since I had 250 space-yen still sitting in my account) and now everyone on my friends list is standing in front of Sega Astro Cities and cocktail cabs.

You can use them with any account that's on the console they're downloaded to. So yes.

For anyone else struggling like me, it turns out the Japanese text that flashes up at the start tells you not to shoot until the core flashes, or else it strengthens it's defense. Wait until it flashes, unleash hell, and it's actually pretty easy.

In honor of the anniversary of the release of Shooting Love 200x, there's now a Windows version of the -0 minigame. Currently, there's a score attack competition going on so everyone hit the leaderboards and show 'em what you're made of 8)

Definitely joining. Anything that says "PC" guarantees me joining in the middle of office work :P

Could this also mean Triangle Service might eventually port Shooting Love for PC? Would be interesting, especially if the guy tweaks and adds even more stuff.

Same here. After getting a missing dll error, I reinstalled DirectX9 only to find that my computer couldn't run the game for shit (it had trouble maintaining 1 frame per second).

Well, I found out why my PC wouldn't run the game :
Triangle Service site wrote:Requirements

:(

Well, and since we're talking Triangle Service, I've made for my site, here, an article about Trianle Service's history and games. Well, it's in French, but feel free to comment !
By the way for this article I did interview Toshiaki Fujino a few weeks ago and he did announce to me he was working on a new shooting game which will come to the arcades this year (i.e 2010) !
But I have no more info so far...

CAN'T BELIEVE I SPENT HOURS WORKING ON THIS ARTICLE, 1CCING TRIZEAL, EXZEAL, PRACTISING ON SHMUPS SKILL TEST AND STILL I CAN'T ENTER THIS SCORE CONTEST ON MINUS ZERO !!!!!!
gotta find a vista pc ! (never thought such a weird thing before ! )

I think he meant Windows XP or later; it runs fine on my XP SP3 box.

Someone else kinda answered this, but you have to wait until the screen says "go" and then start shooting. If you shoot before it tells you to, you're basically disqualified and you fail no matter what. But as soon as the middle red crystal shines really bright, then start shooting.

And also on the little rock guy in stage 6 Exzeal, when you clear the block near him and go on the right side of the screen, then you have to pause and unpause the game to get him to salute you. In the arcade you just hit the 1P start button and since there's no pause on arcade, he just salutes you, but on 360, start button pauses the game, so you just unpause after that.

I'd like to play this more but the game honestly gives me a headache. I wouldn't normally complain about this, and it's not like most people complaining about being disoriented over bullet hell, but.. there's just so many unnecessary, flashy effectsd that I occasionally lose track of my ship. Otherwise it's pretty fun.

Very nice situation here.

Want to try some different scoring techniques besides "kill everything as soon as they appear onscreen" but doing so drops the fps below accepted values and refuses to allow the scores for ranking.

and the other machine that's in storage is..[EDIT] well I forgot about the AGP in it so it runs great.

4th place, need one million!! AAAAHHHH!!!

Due to the winner wishing to not recieve a prize, my 4th place finish in the -0 Score Attack was bumped up to 3rd. Kind of a bittersweet victory, even moreso when you consider the random almost 300,000pt. jump in score AFTER the end of the competition. :?

Good times nonetheless. There's something refreshingly appealing about a score competition with a time limit.

Today, the prizes arrived.

There's a new record on Trizeal Remix since the 6th of June : 5 751 700 by STZ. Can be seen on the online ranking. Quite impressive, even on the first stage ! (established with the first ship, and with rank OFF)
(BTW how can someone set the destruction percentage to appear in the lower corner ?)
