What would you specifically recommend as a better controller for the 360? Is there a Saturn pad converter for instance?
The simplest path is the SFIV pad from madcatz. It has a good dpad and larger buttons than the standard 360 pad. I've found mine randomly at Best Buys. I can recommend this one.
Does anyone else get massive slowdown with this game?. I literally stop shooting most of the time so the screen can catch up, especially in maniac mode and up. I dont get nearly as bad of slowdown with deathsmiles, and I even popped in some of the ps2 cave ports and they arent as bad either. I feel like the whole game is in slow motion most of the time.

I'm sure others with the SFIV pad will agree that its better for shmups than the 360 pad.
Truth.
$20 clearance inside best buy store only. Do it

The game just has a lot of slowdown. There's a lot going on. It's no fault of the port, that's how it is in the arcade version as well. Quite beneficial if you ask me.
Looking at buying Mushi Futari 1.5, just had a few questions before I splurge...
1) I'm assuming the DLC card is one use only, so if you buy a used LE you may/may not be able to download 1.0.1. Is this correct?
2) Is 1.0.1 worth an extra $50?

1) Yes.
2) This depends on you. Most of us wouldn't *need* this mode, but for someone who MUST have completeness, it might be worth having. If I myself hadn't already used the code, I would gladly pass my card along for a $50.

I quite like 1.01, but that might be because I'm bored with regular 1.5 after having the PCB a while. It's tough as nails and presents quite a different game from the other iterations.
Jeneki wrote:As I recall, the first printing with the DLC card came with a round red sticker on the shrinkwrap. That should be easy to spot on the packaging.
They are also different SKUs, which can be verified by looking at the spine of the DVD case. If I recall correctly, all LEs came with the DLC card.

I quite enjoyed enjoyed reading it, even though he's clearly no expert. This bit made me laugh: "When showing an acquaintance of mine Mushihimesama he sneered “It looks so repetitive. All you do is shoot”. Clearly he is an idiot"

I swear I've played some flash version of this game.
If there is indeed a rebellion of the machines one day, it won't be some crazy war machinery with intentions to take over the world... it will be the communication devices going mad because they're abused to transport shit like this.

That's my review, actually. I've been doing some considerable lurking on here lately. I know that there are a few details that are a bit out, but I figured that probably didn't matter that much considering the audience. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

No probs, keep up the good work. It just seemed really out of context to see such a niche 360 game alongside user reviews for Pokemon and Mario. Hope it encourages some people to check out the genre. And if anyone comes across that flash version of Mushi Futari please let me know
Heh, I though God mode was going to be where I could fly around and not get hit by bullets. I thought it would be nice to fly around and actually take in the art work before I blew it up.

Bodacious vocabulary, man. I'm flabbergasted.
Jokes aside, very good and enjoyable review, although you probably need to see how to keep things shorter/more concise in the future. Maybe reduce the amount of epithets. ;)
