Lol, I love this backing and forthing.

I don't really give a fuck anyway, I end up saving my money to buy the PCB's in the end.

Could it not mean that they dont see the point in doing their future ports region-free because they are thinking about localizing them instead? :?

Absolutely nothing. Aksys are more than likely going to localize further Cave titles regardless of whether they're region locked or not.

It's too late to save face now. The "oh but I planned it all along" card is really cute though. It might have worked in... 2003? It's a shame posting continual white noise doesn't unlock achievements.

The joke is that your precious, overpriced LE is now going to share achievements with that of non-JP 360 owners and no one really cares but you. I'm sure after Microsoft ditch the Live system you'll be found in some ditch somewhere. I suggest you re-evaluate your priorities before it's too late.

This is so hilarious, you're getting so upset that I have a lot of achievements and drawing conclusions that I only play games to get achievements. I have every other game system on the market right now except PS3 and play them nearly as often as my 360, I just find more appealing games on 360 more often, so obviously I play them. I've had a 360 since 2005 and I only play the games I enjoy until I get tired of them, and I don't play stupid shit games that people play just to get achievement points.

The shtick of trying to "call out" people on things that you really don't understand on the Internet to make you feel better about yourself is pretty 2003 as well, but I'm going to stop bringing it up because it isn't accomplishing anything.

Anyhow, the announcement from Asada is bringing up some interesting questions about the future of localization, if there is any after DeathSmiles. We'll have to wait until more JP releases show up to see where the localization future is going.

I wouldn't be too busted up about it. What really do they have that came out after DS that you guys are excited about? DDP DFK or DS II?

To me, these were there last best games. Of course, Ketsui doesn't come into the equation, since Cave aren't releasing it.

MMP and DeathSmiles 2 are both due out as well, and whether you think they're great or not, from what I've heard they were pretty popular.

Stop arguing. Achievements are gay, and you're both gay for trying to mine them like they actually boost your crediblity as gamers.
They're a nicely designed marketing invention to increase turnover and help kiddies who can only afford two games a year to get the most out of their purchases.

I was kind of hoping for MMP if/when that ever gets a port, but hey, I'm cool with them not releasing any more region free games for a while. I'm happy they gave us this much. Besides, it gives my wallet a rest, too

Thanks for the confirmation. Has anyone replied to his post to say thank you? I'm content with my lowly US console if all I get is Futari and Espgaluda (and DS). They were my favorite two titles on the PS2. I didn't expect for us to get Espgaluda so it's still a welcome announcement. If Ketsui doesn't end up localized I'll look into a J360.

Every console on the market except for a PS3? So.. you have a Wii as well.

You have 1000/1000 in NBA 2k6, Bullet Witch and almost all in Blue Dragon, which are all shitty games.

Not to mention all of the achievements which unlock after a certain amount of time in Raiden Fighters Aces (1hr, 24hr, 48hr, 72hr, 98hr I believe), yet you don't have the 100,000,000 achievement or even the 50,000,000 one. 50m didn't even take me 5 hours to obtain. Tell me again that you don't play for achievements? I guess it isn't playing really, my bad. It's more or less "melting the thermal paste off my heatsinks for gamerpoints".

It's not so much calling out as it is pointing out that you keep saying "edgy" garbage to illicit a response when it's not needed. Region free games? That's so lame. Heh, Half-Life? Sorry I don't play western garbage. Hitler was a genius. I fucking love goths. Cute 'em up? More like ugly 'em up.

MMP isn't confirmed for XBLA. I think it makes little sense to release a SH3 game on XBLA when all the others are getting HD graphics and retail releases.

I also have DS and PSP as well and play them a lot. Also play a decent amount on my iPhone when I find good games.

And wow, you have an opinion and don't like games that I enjoyed. You must be a god if your opinion instantly becomes fact.

And yes, there were many nights where I fell asleep playing games so my timer counts up, and a few of them ended up having time-unlock achievements. A lot of other games I've played well over 100 hours just because they're fun. Way to incorrectly draw conclusions again.

And this is a thread about ESPgaluda, how about we get back on topic?

Yeah, I mean, Futari, Galuda II, and now DS being localized...that's all I was wanting from 'em anyway, unless they brought out some old stuff for XBLA. I think these three have made for some of the best shmupping i've had in ages.

You can't get the time achievements in RFA without using autofire, because only actual gameplay adds to the total timer.

I'm not 100% certain on that, but even if that's wrong, you still ended up leaving your 360 on for 90+ hours and didn't even reach 50m in any of the games. Excellent work. Are you in this hobby or what?

Yes, I do play with my arcade stick, which does have autofire.

Man, you're totally hardXcoreXshmup dude you're so good at Raiden Fighters, I worship you in your infinite skill and wisdom concerning a 2D shooting game it seriously escalates you to a new level of being since you got 50 million points. I'm totally unworthy of being a shmup fan for all these years cause I can't get 50mil, I'm a total failure and you have to be really good at shmups to enjoy them. Man I was so wrong all along.

It really has nothing to do with being skilled at shmups. If you can't get 50m in Raiden Fighters 1/2 or Jet within 98 hours, perhaps you should maybe stick to RPGs instead.

That said, you're bullshitting, you achievement whored the game and now you're trying to defend it. Pretty sad, but your whole concept of "oh i play games for the games, not for achievements" thing is false. People like you are not in a position to dictate what games of this genre should or should not be region free.

So Ketsui and DDPDFK are region-locked :( Sad, but hopefully every region gets its own ported version...

hopefully

PS: I own a JXbox360 but I feel sad for friends who are not that addicted to shmups, but would buy it if they could play it on an european xbox, like they did with mushi and esp2.

So now i guess they're hopefully going to essentially localize everything else, as i can definitely see Aksys localizing most/if not all of Caves shooters if the future.

But if not, one can hope though. :)

Can we start a bickering thread, mainly for those who constantly point out irrelevant post regarding ship dates etc. but seem to think we all want to read their little fights back and forth.

I'm not sure if this belongs here or not, but wtf is Cave doing? Region locked, followed by not region locked, followed by kind of region locked, and now back to region locked (if they produce more games). That's weird.
