B-E kicks ass, don't seem to be able to survive at all in stage 3 with any of the others, continually bombing is no fun either.

Much harder than a DOJ 1-All. You get a lot of bombs and slowdown but it's also a lot longer and the final form of the final boss can't be hurt by bombs at all. Does depend a lot on your character and if you try to score points though.

If you can't at least get close to a 1cc of Galuda 1, this game is probably not for you.
Special World wrote:I will be just a little miffed if I'm expected to watch a tutorial in order to get high scores.

Not like I'll get them anyways, but I am a perfectionist and it'll kill me.
The difference in scoring potential is only around 15-20m so it's not really something you need to worry about anyway.
I haven't played ESP2, but Espgaluda is WAY easier than DOJ to me.

Cool!
Considering that the tutorial glitch in DS was removed in the home port, I'm guessing Cave will follow suit with ESP2.

Any system is covered by warranty in any country as long as it is within the time limit, it doesn't matter what country you're in. I know people who have gotten their NTSC-J system repaired by Microsoft in the US.

I think the worst possible thing that could happen is that MS messes up and sends you a USA refurb model for your broken Japanese one. That would suck.. but not horribly so. It's not like they would notice that it was Japanese and tell you go screw off.

Pre-ordered from NCSX. Oh, and a Egret II from Matsu. Being my birthday today, I'd say it has been a very good day indeed. Can't wait! It was well worth all the fuss and calamity after all.

Most likely. If not, don't worry, Play-Asia's customer support have been very active these past few months.

If you trust the sources given (probably safe at this point), yea, all SE copies from any store will be the same. If you want to wait for hands-on confirmation, SE copies of the game will still be very easy to find after release.

This will happen if you don't specifically tell them that it's a Japanese unit and you need the same one back. Usually, MS will ship you a refurbished unit as soon as they get yours so they can have quick turnarounds. If you let them know that it's a Japanese system, then you'll have to wait a bit longer, but you'll get it back.

Hmm, debatable.

Bar the possibility of a noob mode, the main game is going to punish the fuck out of a lot of people here - far more than Futari.

Both Black Label and the vanilla game will have novice modes, remember?
There are tutorials included this time, too.

...I hope the novice modes are tougher than Futari's, so there can be a natural progression of skill for new players.

Haha, now NCSX is sending out e-mails to everyone who bought the LE asking if they're SURE they want it because it's not region free. They said you have to reply to their email or they'll cancel your order. I just responded and said "confirming pre-order, shmups being region free is lame." wondering if theyre even going to read what you reply with. Also says its ready to ship early next week.

I'm so pissed. If only they made it region locked to JP-only, I could whore all the achievements for myself while hundreds of westerners miss out on a quality title.

'oh no espgaluda 2 is region free that means i can't play it just on my j360 and rub it in everyone else's faces who do not have j360s this is terrible and affects my enjoyment of the game somehow'

You get your LE and faceplate while the rest of us can't. Be happy about that and move on.

Don't worry, 5pb will mess up Ketsui and make it an easy 1000 while being region locked too

Don't mind. I'd be happy to stay at 880/1000 since DOOM is worth 120 points. So long as the game actually gets released, I don't care.

The funny thing is, there are a bunch of JP-only games with trivial achievements that gamerscore whores could play while failing desperately to use a walkthrough to get all the achievements with. Galuda 2 should be looked at as a game first, and everything else second.

Seeing as most of those are visual novels, questionable as whether those can even be defined as a game, it must be pretty easy to plow through them (don't even have to read them either if theres a skip key).
Oh well no one really cares about achievements, or we all would have bought Avatar: the last airbender too

Shouldn't I be running into 30 vids of the final boss camcordered from an arcade in passing with title and all comments "OMG HARDEST GAEM EVARS!" and nobody knows what the game's name is?

Come to think of it, this EG2 hypetrain is almost as impressive as Alan Wake. 700 pages of discussion and I'm pretty sure I've only run into one screenshot. If I didn't have the first one, I'd have no idea what this game is about outside it's a vert STG

I woulda did the same thing.

You've won the thread for unintentionally creating a new Mohammad.jpg and getting response.

Man, you guys are really good at knowing what people are thinking, especially people you don't know. I'm sure NCSX agrees with you guys, anyhow, since it will let them sell a lot more copies :)

Quick pick it up before it is gone and if you don't want to pay insane amounts of money in the coming weeks. It is still cheap 109$ :)

Heavily considering canceling my pre-order at NCSX and getting it on PA

Edit: Just did some re-calculating and there's no point it works out to be roughly the same price anyways if I was to import from Play-Asia.

Still way above that of HMV and Amiami's prices, lol. I would probably order the LE just for kicks but it's too late now, and there is no way I'm going with Play-Asia.

They were great for a few years but, just like HMV and Amiami, you're practically forced to use EMS if you want to see your item within the first 2 months.
