That's right, here we go again. This one is going to be a bit different. Your ship fires in all 4 directions at once, and enemies come from all sides of the screen. Hiding at the bottom of the screen isn't going to work this time ..

Also if anyone is interested I've done some more changes to the original XOP and XOP Black, I changed the lower difficulty levels so the bullets aren't as random and splattered. XOP also has the Insane difficulty level now.

Hey, man. Glad to see there's another XOP in the works. Interesting idea you've got here. Are you still going to scroll up?
Looks like there are some really cool potential boss designs with this mechanic.
For the record, I agree with j5 that XOP could use a loli infusion. Perhaps a LOLI AREA ?

XOP is better off without lolis period. So you can eat shit and die loli-boy lol. I'm kidding, i hate whenever someone wants to put lolis into a dead-serious game

I think im gonna take a time machine and play xop and xop black this weekend. They are new to

RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE.
I'm planning to resume development on this.
I've put together a fairly solid collection of music from Tim to use as the soundtrack. And one track from Louis (menu music). You'll notice it's much more up-beat than XOP Black's music. Definitely intentional, as XOP Black might have been a bit too dark and oppressive for it's own good (I guess it lived up to it's name?). XOP 3 will definitely be going in the opposite direction in terms of theme.

Sounds awesome. To be honest I would keep the original boss warning from XOP Black. That new one feels little out of place.

Wow....XOP 3.... I remember trying a demo of the first one back in 2005.
It brought back childhood memories of playing Tyrian on my first Windows computer(Windows 95 if I remember correctly)fast-paced intense vertical bullet action!
My favorite weapon to use was the black gravity shot that caused extra heavy damage/stuck to things like glue. Not very good for crowd control though lol.
Do we REALLY NEED loli's for a shmup to officially Bullet Hell? rofl

It's not an arena shooter.
XOP and XOP Black already have mouse control (It's not as bad as you think, the ship just moves towards the mouse following diagonals, etc.)
