So what's the deal with this year's expo? I have a bunch of people itching to sign up for it this year, but it's all gone quiet on the news front. Is it being planned or has it been shelved?

We should get together and do our own arcade gathering, albeit on a smaller scale.

I know, and Casino is all good.

I meant a smaller scale than insert coin but larger than Casino. It was nice to see so many people turn up last time from all over, it would be good to rent a hall and wheel a few cabs in there. Alas, it's easier said than done.

I thought the last expo was alright. Content was there but it was a rushed job.

I thought we would see some Cave experts on the big screen and big tournaments. I wanted to see people show off. Those guys playing those loud OST's ruined it for me as well.

A gathering needs more than just a few cabinets. It needs people who have a passion to show a good time as well.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

uhm im not sure the real reason your bumping this thread but lets just say its better left dead along with IC.

A small meet with some forum members would cool as long as theres no money involved.

Likewise. Being involved kicked all sorts of arse. Passively observing would've bored me to tears.

You were one of the few people who were not impressed by that. I did ask them to keep it at XX level. But fucking DJs never listen.

I thought the sega DJ's sucked too, please go somewhere else and just play your music, I almost texted them to stfu while we play some arcade games. who wants to listen to the sonic birthday tune with some geek singing along to it. ffuu

It was a fun event though, if only for the 'STAND BACK - I HAVE TO CHANGE A PCB!' moments

Has he surfaced at all on any forums since he was booted off Otaku?

Jeff @ Digital Systems is still talking about 200 machines coming in at some point, and he was sniffing around teh idea of a show. Dunno though.
