SoCal gaming interest check

Hi guys,

Doing an interest check to see if anyone in SoCal is interested in hooking up for some gaming at my storage unit in Walnut, CA 91789, one of these days. Unfortunately I can no longer host larger scale hookups (until my wife an I buy a house) but I can entertain a handful of peeps at a time. Still have some shmup gear, but my collection has diversified quite abit to include alot of Jamma and golden age arcade games. Rampart, anyone?

My job destroys me. I still get in a few games after work and over the weekend, but I just haven't felt like doing anything but relaxing when I'm not at work or driving to/from. The 55 mile commute 5 days a week makes it really hard for me to motivate myself to drive anywhere else.

I miss the Cave arcade.

Aaron, your wall of shmup is looking impressive, but needs more IREM. Nice idea with the printed labels. I also started double stacking PCBs in a single box as I ran out of room/boxes.

That's a SICK cave collection! Where exactly in socal are you located?? I'd love to come check out your collection and throw down some games whenever you have time! The only shmup I own is Raiden Fighters 2, however, I do have a few other really cool non-shmup games that I can bring.

I'd probably be able to meet up sometime. Somewhat busy with school and work at the moment, but I'm in Orange County as well. My arcade shmup collection is modest, so I may not have anything that any of you don't already have. I think my only Cave games are ESPGaluda, ESPRADE, Ketsui, Dangun Feveron, and Uo Poko (lol).

What shmup(s) are they running at AI currently? I think the last time I was there they had Raiden IV and maybe a Mushi. Has anyone else noticed that for some reason, the cabinet that they put the shmups on likes to eat tokens and not give credits?

Yeah, Arcade Infinity sounds good, it's a good sized place...arcade, plenty of restaurants to have a bite, maybe get a beer or something after the meet. What day would work out for you guys? Their hours are Monday-Thursday 1pm-10pm, Friday-Saturday 1pm-1am, Sunday 1-10pm.
