Xbox 360 DLC /hdd license transfer question

Post by Battlesmurf »

Alrighty- I'm assuming someone here has ran into something similar. I have a dying Xbox (it's one of the older models). I have 2 choices-

1) Let it die, turn it in to MS
2) Get another (I have a JPN Jasper and I trust the Jaspers- the thing is quiet and cool- assuming it will last much much longer) Xbox.

If I do step 2)- I have an HDD Transfer kit at the ready- got a killer deal on a bigger HD, run and pick up a new arcade. I would then have to do the License transfer from the Website.

Now- my question is this. I had heard that some games have been removed for download (Doritos Dash, Streets Of Rage 2?). Can I 're-download' - or are they just gone for good?

If they are gone for good- I know MS says they do the license transfer when an Xbox gets repaired- would I keep my stuff?

Thanks fellas!

Streets of Rage 2 seems to still be up, couldn't find Doritos though.

Even if it wasn't, you could always go to your download history and find it there. I purchased Double Dragon a while back and accidentally deleted it without knowing it had been taken off. I was worried but was easily able to download it again by doing that. Good to know I suppose.
