Final Fantasy: Dear Friends

Post by russ »

Just got back from the "Final Fantasy: Dear Friends" concert performed by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra here in Texas, and it was pretty fucking amazing. Granted I'm not the biggest Final Fantasy fan out there, I was still blown away by the several orchestrated versions of songs throughout the series. The piano guy kicked ass in "To Zanarkand", a theme from Final Fantasy X, and they even played one of the tracks from the upcoming DVD release, "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children", which I'm now looking forward to. To top it off, the audience encored at the end for more, and they played "One Winged Angel" from Final Fantasy VII, with a choir and everything! Holy shit! Overall, an awesome performance, if they ever have it again in the D/FW area, I'll definitely be there. :P

IMHO Uematsu can suck it.
The men truly deserving of concerts are Mitsuda and Koshiro.

serriousoly,
out of 10 gigs worth of FF-music on a shared iTunes playlist here. I've only found about 10 tracks I like.

/end rant.

^Nice post.
Be attitude for gains:
1) Be praying...
2) Be praying...
3) Be praying...

And a shameless plug for the stuff I'm selling on eBay, if you're into that sort of thing.
