What the hell is Impact arcade platform?

Post by EinhanderZwei »

I've encountered this name numerous times on Russian emulation sites where they were referring to it as the platform with the most features (?). So, does anyone know what is this, and are there any worthy games for it?
In an alternate universal, Soldier Blade II has already been crafted by Hudson Soft and Compile with proper tate this time around (c) PC Engine Fan X!
Sega tried and failed. Nintendo didn't even try. (c) Specineff

'impact' is a capcom zn-1 and zn-2 emulator....2nd hit on google btw

its quite old and outdated though

and the games for those hardware formats:

ZinC is much better, although its command line based, but there are a couple of front ends for it...

im personally quite fond of zn-2.....strider 2 ftw!!! 8)

As I was reading this thread I was thinking "what about Rival Schools?!!!!" :D Good call.

Random fact, ZN-1 & ZN-2 ROM boards can be swapped mechanically, but electrically they do not run. I tried this, hoping my ZN-2 mother would run both ROM board types, but no joy
