I searched the forum and the guide. I am thinking of getting a Jp system, can i use my US profile on the system and play my USA and region free games just like i am now? Most US titles are already region free, so instead of having two systems i would rather swap for a JP system and use that so i can play Jp only shmups and my existing US games that are non region locked. Also i have some US NTSC Xbox original titles that are backward compatible can i play them on a JP system as well? (If the original disc is region free and downloaded xbox original is region free) I want to use the HDD from my US system will i be able to play the Xbox original titles i have downloaded on it?

Yes. Just use a US address and a US specific passport account. I would recommend making an account of your own region, and a Japanese account. If you use a non-Japanese account and a game tries to access the JP store, it will give a "service is temporarily unavailable" error. There's details on how to create a JP account below.

I should be more clear, can i swap my HDD with exisiting US account and downloaded xbox originals and DLC content (ie. Futari black label) on a Jp system. If it was covered in your sticky i do apologize, Thanks

Yes, but you would need to use the Xbox 360 license migration tool otherwise you won't be able to play your arcade games on anything but the account in which they were originally purchased from.

Ok sounds great, i just hope that includes Xbox originals that i have downloaded because from what i know they are region locked. I don't know what would happen with the migration.

I don't think your Xbox Originals would make the jump with you to a different region console, but I don't know of many people who have experimented with this.
IMO, it's best to keep both and stick with having separate hard drives for each console, and redownloading content as you see fit.
