Hey what's up dude, I am not too known here, but I live in Japan, and I am going to Tokyo in April actually. I can most likely make it, though I am not just a shmups fan, and have played just about every shmup since Gradius on NES. PM me if anything. Also, which arcade? I went to Mikado in Kabukicho and that is like shmup HEAVEN, they have mushifutari, ketsui, daiou, ddp ETC, but i heard they moved recently... Which I hope not, that location was sick.

I am wondering if Mikado will still keep all their shmup games, because I am pretty sure they had just about every top game there (that I like at least.) I heard they moved just around the same street, but I haven't been to Tokyo since February 2009.

It hasn't changed location Sven, they've just opened a second centre. Mikado Shinjuku is still there.

Wish I could join you mate, have a good one, put up some high scores those Japanese punks can't wipe off. :P

i should be around i think, might be back in the UK for a wedding, but what with having a little one it's hard to justify getting the time out of the house.

Anyone going to be there earlier? I'm going to be in Tokyo from March 26th through April 1st.

I've got a thread going in OT with places I'd like to go along with this Assembler Games map.
