Little help with MAME
I just got a new computer, and downloaded the newest MAME32FX. Well, when the games scroll, they kind of look like they are inching upwards. It's hard to explain, but it's not 'smooth'. It's kind of herky jerky. Any idea what options I can mess with to fix this problem?

OK, well I disabled Throttle and got it to synch to my monitor's refresh rate. That got rid of the tearing. How do I make sure the game is running at it's proper speed?

If you hit F11, you should see 100%. If it's anything different, it's not running at the speed it should. I may be wrong about this, but I think that because you're using V-sync, games that run at speeds other than 60 fps will not run at the correct speed (i.e. DDP will run at 104% speed).

Thanks.
Hey, are there any other emulators that run Raizing games? The lag in MAME in driving me nuts.

Of course it is, if you have vsync on. It's better to leave it and triple buffering off and live with the tearing instead of input lag (and better still to set up things as elvis has detailed in his posts and not have tearing either, but that's a lot more work).
If you want to try another emulator, Raizing's games work in Final Burn Alpha and Raine. FBA is probably superior, though I'm not up on which of its many flavors is best at the moment.
