I got a j360 recently, too. I only own 6 360 games so far, 4 Jap. and 2 Amer. But they all run.
I also DL Trigger Heart Exelica onto the 256MB memory card and still have enough room for saved games...
So you can download at least 1 game I guess.

It's worth noting that many Asian versions are cheaper than US or Japan ones, and come with English language.

Get a j360.... You can always buy a cheap UK/US 360 at a later point to play your other games on...
Region free is not a huge expense in itself per se, but it costs time due to extended approval processes, and marketplace testing - which if not passed may incur further costs and then time on top. Its also a final kick in the balls for any team who by this stage just want it to ship... Repeated submissions for approval will incur costs.
Buy a domestic hd and add to you j360 - accessories are not region dependant, no impact on warranty - unless its a bootleg hd [I believe there's some of those about?]

The memory was only put into the system due to the fact it was needed for the big xbox live/dashboard update. Before a memory card was only used really for game data and v small system patches.2dveritcal wrote: Can someone fill me in on this arcade version of xbox360? So it has 256mb on board memory and no harddrive?
