Got my preorder in for the LE at Play Asia. I had no problem with my order of Mushi from them.

Preorders now open for the LE version on NCSX:
NCSX wrote: After a few weeks of news inertia on Espgaluda II LE, NCS received information over the weekend about how many copies we'll be able to purchase. The confirmed allocation ratio is 1:3 which means we're allowed to buy 1 copy of Espgaluda II Limited Edition for every 3 copies of the regular edition that we've already submitted reservations for.

Since we know how many we'll be receiving, preorders are welcome starting today to ship on February 25, 2010. NCS can guarantee all preorders for the limited edition of Espgaluda II while the reservation period is open. We've already paid for the game and the quantity we've been allocated won't be reduced, sold to another vendor, or otherwise misappropriated. NCS will close preorders once our allocation is sold out. If you've contacted NCS requesting a reservation, we have already held one for you pending your confirmation at the listed price of $146.90.

The Espgaluda II LE package includes a bonus 2-disc soundtrack that is packaged inside the DVD case. A bonus Xbox 360 faceplate featuring Ceceri (viewable on our shopping gallery) is also included in the limited edition of the game. Preorders are welcome to ship on February 25, 2010.

Yesasia is also cheaper than NCSX, 143$ if I am not mistaken. Maybe PA got the wrong price or something, o they haven't thought about the weight of the package and have a cheapest shipping fee (I choose airmail in economy box for only 7$).

NCSX's LE price is like double the SE price.

I already placed an order for it but... I sort of feel a bit gyped considering PA has it for 35$ Cheaper than NCSX.

Anyways I shouldn't complain seeing how NCSX is reliable. Thats what I'm really paying for.

NCSX has opened preorders for the LE. It'll be $146.90...

http://www.shopncsx.com/espgaludaiiblac ... ion-1.aspx

I might go Play-Asia after all. Lower price, plus since I'm in NY, tax on this will be killer. But then it'll be a few extra days... what to do, what to do...

EDIT: whoops, I should have refreshed the page before I posted... old news is old.
EDIT 2: thanks for the suggestion, StarCreator... I picked up an LE from PA and a standard from NCSX. Best of both worlds. I don't care about the money, I've been waiting to play this game since it released in arcades!

The high price really has me reconsidering which edition to order. I already put in my Play-Asia order for the LE yesterday, but I think NCS has priced theirs higher than I'm willing to pay. I might just go for the standard at NCS since I'd probably still get the soundtrack CD out of it.

This, basically. And with how Play-asia has fucked up pre-orders in the past, I don't trust that I'll get the faceplate that NCSX says they are being assured by the distributor. And I want that pretty bad. I ordered that and No More Heroes since they drop on the same day, hopefully they actually do. Its funny that they now have so much info about the game, yet still no word on region coding. I'm gonna assume at this point it is not region-free, but it wouldn't matter to me either way.

Honestly, while Play-Asia screwed up with the Mushihimesama Futari standard edition, I don't see that happening with the limited editions at all. As far as we know, there is only ONE printing for the limited edition, and they all include the soundtrack and faceplate, so the only way you would be screwed in this case is if they oversold their allocation. I've never had an order for a limited edition of a game fall through.

What I -would- be concerned about is if one ordered the standard edition at Play-Asia, in which case the editions might get mixed up before shipment - but hopefully they learned from the previous mistake not to do that again.

Can't we just have a sticky thread for all TIRESOME preorder discussions?

This was the case for Futari as well, and that one LE version also included the 1.01 DLC card on a 100% basis. I sure was happy to have no worries about mine when these boards were full of ; ; when Futari was released. I know that with an LE reservation I'll get everything. Besides, screw it - I'll splurge for a Cave game, especially a sequel to one of my all time favorites.

I also trust NCS immensely, I've been ordering from them since about 1996 and they've had consistently excellent service. They also do a great job of keeping the customer informed - they're willing to tell why they have to price things the way they do, how they source hard to get items, and I've even seen suggestions many times to wait for prices to drop on items that are inflated at release. I buy stuff from P-A too, but for something I really care about... I'll pay a bit of a premium to go with NCS for their reliability.

As for this release - NCS promptly and politely replied to my cancellation of my regular edition Espgaluda II order this morning after I ordered the LE, so they're certainly starting off on the right foot.

Just checked out Play-Asia and they just closed off LE pre-orders.

Guess for late deciders best go to NCSX before they close too!

Edit: Update NCSX has also sold out!!!

Ebay anyone?

DAAAMN, that was ridiculously fast!

I'm still a little confused as to what the deal is with the soundtracks. I read that both versions will have it but I have my doubts.
I guess time will tell.

I have to wonder how many preorders will be cancelled if the game is revealed to be region locked.

Wow, it literally took less than 5 hours for them to sell out of all allotment they were granted. Interesting.

I'm glad I wasn't the many people who were still on the fence thinking about whether or not to order the LE version. I'm guessing those who did order really wanted the faceplate pretty badly considering its double the price of the SE version.

I feel good for some reason :)

Well, after a month of waiting and checking, glad I was at the right place at the right time. If anybody gets sick of the LE, they'll be able to sell that and be left with the normal edition. But the inverse won't be true.

Wow that was fast, missed the NCSX preorder, thats what I get for sleeping :( . Looking at that ridiculous price however I don't feel so bad about it though, just going to go with amiami where they're actually close to the MSRP. Haven't ordered anything from them yet, they don't inform you about shipping costs until after the order. Hope I don't get raped too badly from that, but they do use EMS so its all good I suppose. Plus the lolphonecard.

Man, I guess my gut feeling was right when I thought I might be better off with PA when it came to price. I'm glad I didn't hesitate, now to play the waiting game.

Well, you also have to consider that a new/sealed LE will probably sell for more on the second hand market than the preorder price. I'd guess a lot of preorderers will keep their order anyway for that reason.
