I feel like there will be a bunch of japanese menus i won't understand.
Rage: Seriously dude, there are threads for the other games. Why post all the OT questions here?

I was in this topic so I posted, and it turned into talk about DS. You're right though, it's kind of a d-bag move to continue discussion of DS past a certain point and I'll search out the other topic.

ED: Props on the Wizard of Wor avatar. Wizard of Wor rocks so much ass. I can't believe it's so unknown now, to me it absolutely crushes everything else from that time period.

EOJ says the MBL port is highly inaccurate (correct me if I'm wrong), and many player prefers v1.1 to it anyway, so your best bet would be to try it somehow before you buy.

StarCreator wrote:For those that aren't watching NCS like a hawk, they commented this morning that they might be starting preorders of the LE next week. They also seem to believe the ratio of limited allocations to standard preorders is 1:4, which is better than what they were expecting.

I'm still torn on which version to order, and I've probably waited way too long to make a standard preorder and still be guaranteed a preorder bonus. I might just preorder the standard edition tomorrow and put up another order for the limited edition whenever NCS starts taking orders.
Thank you for posting this. I've just been refreshing the LE order page...

E2LE on ncsx has been my homepage for a while. I emailed them about around when they'd open preorders and replied with this:
Cave closed preorders for the regular edition last week and we should know how many of the limited edition they'll allocate to vendors in the next few days. Thanks.
This was nearly a month ago though, so either they've already known how many for a while now, or way overestimated how soon they'd get those numbers.

According to the Cave blog, the master version is finished and they sent it to MS for authentication. They say all they have to do now is "wait for the release date".

Too late to change the region code now, whatever it may be.

So what's the strategic plan for not announcing the region encoding if it's already off to MS for cert? I don't care either way, but if it's finalized, why not tell?

I think silence means "region locked to Japan". If it were region free, they would have said so, just like with Futari. If it's region locked, there's no need to say anything to foreigners, because they won't be able to play the game. Thus, it's easier to ignore them.

This is kinda what I was thinking as well.

But I don't think that folks who do not own a J360 should start worrying just yet. Afterall, Futari was released region-free essentially as a test to see how well it would sell with the additional foreign markets, right? If that is the case, now we have news that Deathsmiles will be getting a US release...so I think it is a fair assumption that the test with Futari went reasonably well...

So maybe Espgaluda 2 will not be region-free, but perhaps it will be localized. If that is the case, then it actually works out better for you US 360 owners since the game will be significantly cheaper than importing it.

I know this is all speculation, but certainly something to think about.
Now whether or not these localizations get completely butchered is a whole other topic

Indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if Futari's sales helped get DS localized.

Deathsmiles has been definitively announced as getting a US release?

Yep, and the US Deathsmiles sales will determine if Espgaluda 2 gets the same treatment

And possibly months ahead of the US. The nag game is free, but it's boring.

LOL at people posting up at Mihara's blogs asking for region-free games.

He said he'd say something to Asada though!

Well guess they definitely know how we feel now. Hoping it turns out region-free because i've preordered, but if not I'll just buy the damn J360. Kind of want DDP DOJ anyways.

Order that J360 now and get access to other great games, like Otomedius and THE iDOLM@STER!

I lol'd  I'm going to start all of my future correspondence with "You own."

Funny that someone sending it to Mihara, who has nothing to do with it, is (possibly) getting the sentiment passed along to a relevant decision-maker like Asada. Not that it'll affect any of the games that guy was talking about.

I don't know whether or not to pull the trigger on Play Asia. After the Mushi incident, I wonder if there's any chance of something similar happening again. Should I wait for NCSX instead?
