RQ: Has anyone used a PAL PS1 with an XRGB?

Just a request for info, has anyone used a PAL PS1 with an XRGB, and does it work? I am getting funny error messages on my TV screen :?

i am using a PS1 euro RGB cable to connect to the XRGB (of course via a euro-->jap converter cable), then running the VGA signal from the XRGB to my TVs PC input
