Import 360 question

Post by Burningvigor »

Im going to buy a japanese 360 to play some great shmups but I have a few questions for those who own one.

1. If the japanese 360 breaks down am I able to get it repaired in America.

2. Can I get my american gamertag into the japanese 360 one?

3. Can I still voicechat with my friends who own the US 360?

4. Is it possible to change the language to english in the japanese 360 so I can navigate the options easier?

For 1., some people have reported success doing this, so it is at least possible. If you need to get it repaired, don't use the automated system; call them directly and tell them that you have a Japanese console, so that they know.

For 2. and 3.: Japanese 360s work NO differently from US ones. You can do these things and everything else in the same way. You will not be able to tell the difference between a US and Japanese console unless you get the "wrong region" message when you try to play a game.

For 4.: one of the first questions any 360 asks, worldwide, is what language you want to use. The only difference here is that the Japanese console defaults to Japanese. Just press Down until you highlight English, and choose that.

No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.
