Mihara doesn't work for Cave. He works for Arika. The two guys in the video are Asada and Ikeda (both of whom do work for Cave, of course).

Just happened to catch a used copy up on eBay for about $60 shipped. I was avoiding this since I have my PS2 hooked up to the cabs as well so why would I play in 480p over 240p, but it sounds like it's worth it for the new x mode (is there a cheat to unlock that mode without playing for 6 hours first?).

No, but BL is IMHO much more fun than regular DOJ, so (overlooking the tedious loading times) those 6 hours can be reached quite easily.

Yo dawg I herd they made the hitboxes a tad smaller, plus the overall game is a bit easier. IMHO it's definitely even more fun than White Label.

I am really curious what will end up happening. I could have sworn there were 2 'patches'. A "fixer" and a "complete". Is the word at the moment that the fixer is just an update- and the "complete" is a presumably 8-1200 pt. DLC type affair?

There is a free patch that will fix all the bugs. That will land in the next 2-4 weeks.

There is a "complete" version via paid DLC that will come later. No release date nor price has been set. The features of this complete version have also not been disclosed yet. You will need to own the original game to buy this complete version.
