Re: New Genetos version .60 out
I know two ways of getting the mysterious drops. One drops from the top row, second column I believe in the first stage. In the second stage in the first bit where a bunch of blocks with smiley faces start showing up, there's one in the very last block that appears. That's all I know.
Re: New Genetos version .60 out
The more I play this game, the more I love it. I'm trying to figure out where exactly the range is for bullet reflection in the final evolution. It seems to vary based on where your options are (focused or not), the phase of the moon, the alignment of the planets, your score, and the weather. >=\
I'm thinking we need a high score list for this. =D

Sure? I was hunting for them last night and I pretty much killed *everything* in the first & second stages - no luck. Glitchy drop-rate?MathU wrote:They're each dropped by a certain enemy. Give me a bit and I'll post pics of each.

On the first level, it's the second in from the left on the top row for me...?ZOM wrote:Sure? Hmm... will try again later today, thanks!TMR wrote: On the first level, it's the second in from the left on the top row for me...?
EDIT: Yep, it's there for me too now. Dunno what the problem was, I had 3 plays before and got it on all 3... oh well.

Well, the history says there's a green DNA in every stage (could be more than one, though).
edit: well, and it also says you need 10 or more green DNAs to unlock the summon subweapon (which is pretty awesome for combo-ing)

Re: New Genetos version .60 out
Any DNA item, green, bomb, or life, counts toward the 10 you need to get the Summon subweapon.
One thing to note with all the weapons is you can only evolve to a new type from the defaults: Normal main, Circle bomb, and Laser subweapon. For example, if you want the Summon subweapon, you need to make sure you get the Laser in stage 4.
The enemies circled in green drop green DNA.

The invader circled in pink drops an extra life DNA.

The green DNA in stage 2 is in the first wave of square-shaped enemies. It's dropped by the last enemy in the second row. 10th one if you're counting.

The green DNA in stage 3 is dropped this enemy. It's right after the second set of paired "miniboss" enemies. Make sure you start shooting it immediately or use a bomb, because it has more health than normal.

This enemy spawns off to the right during the first wave of red hexagon enemies. It drops down fairly quickly, so you'll want to be at the right side of the screen, waiting to shoot at it when it appears.
Green DNA weapons override requirements for any other weapons. For example, if you get the green DNA in stage 2 you can't get the Blade or Slow shot.
I really wish Koyama would put a keyboard configure option in. This is yet another of the multitudes of indie JP games where I'm forced to play cross-armed because the author thinks everyone owns a gamepad or joystick. Movement goes on the left hand.

Of course, that's just an opinion.

That's the bizarre thing... i swear i haven't collected that much DNA in one go but summon is unlocked in the history! And yeah, summoning something during the start of stage 5 can get some mental combos. =-)Gespenst wrote:Well, the history says there's a green DNA in every stage (could be more than one, though).

Re: New Genetos version .60 out
Is Zero-shift subweapon cannot be reloaded? The energy gauge doesn't refill.
