Interesting! Thanks for writing the info here mrtie. Next time, I should go with someone else so one can shoot at the screen and the other to the actual joystick. Later composite both images in one so the game play can be easily analyzed.

This isn't true at all, not sure where they go this.

Double Edit: Actually no I don't.

In HYPER mode, canceling bullets with shot doesn't build up the hit counter. It does, however, still build up the +counter anyway. Same goes for the Red Shot as well.

Also noticed oddly when a player used Hyper + Red Shot on a mid boss, he didn't get any hit counter for the laser hitting either. Kind of weird.

How is this game any different from DonDon Pachi Extra Black Label?

It's a totally different game. The 360 game is a remix of a remix, to simplify things. Borrowing from the latest 'Pachi (Daifukkatsu), DDP-DOJ BL Extra implemented the bullet canceling "hypers". That should "clear" things up for you. :D

Well according to vendors, it's a PCB with hard drive and dongle. Also supports 15kHz and 24kHz according to vendors..

I've tried to clarify with a couple of them, and others are as well because it makes little sense.

Wow, that asking MSRP of 198,000 yen sure is mucho dinero. Will the prices of both DDP-DFK versions 1.0 and 1.5 come down in price once it's released?

Some hard-core Cave PCB hobbyists do own the original DDP-DFK version 1.0 PCB alongside with the upgraded 1.5 version as well but they won't admit it.

after watching that the game seems more interesting, it seems that aside from regular DDP chaining now you can also cancel bullets ala espgaluda somehow, the ammount of bullets you cancel are added to your counter as a onetimme value.

basically instead of cancelling bullets as soon as possible as in 1.5 you want to draw as many as you can out before you kill the enemy cancelling them, hairy stuff.. look at the counter at the start of stage 3, goes from 0 to +1700 in a few seconds..

Dynamic slowdown would be nice, not sure if they can really do it properly though. I didn't notice anything watching it myself.

I wonder how limited this will be. Sell through preorders then print more? Time will tell I suppose.

I'd bet they will use this to clear out SH-3 stock levels.

So it's out, and videos are floating around. Honestly it seems like a parody of bullet hell. As if someone were to set out to make a game that was a complete parody of bullet hell, and modern Cave games in general, they would end up with DDP DFK BL. Then again, I can only hope to play it some day if it happens to be ported to 360 and has black label as DLC.

Main post updated with final product video's, man I would love to give this a try but even at my craziest I really can't justify the $1000 this kit will drop in value in a year or so. Here hoping we see a BL DLC for DFK whenever the port comes out.
